Looks like the weather forecast was right; it's absolutely pouring! And most people are complaining about the sudden downpour.

1. OMG RAIN!!!

Rain is just the BEST THING EVER, RIGHT?! Well, that's what you think and you're determined to have a good time. Either going for a walk or splashing through puddles or even just sitting around and getting wet, you're going to milk every second of this rain and drag your friends along for the ride.

2. FUCK YOU, RAIN.

Oh god, it's raining. This just completely ruins your day. Maybe you were planning to go shopping but the roads are still flooded up, or because the school closed thanks to the storm, you need to hire a last minute babysitter for your kids. Whatever the reason for it, you're not pleased about this rain and you don't care what anyone else thinks.

Oh lord, it looks like you're stuck inside. It's raining too hard for you to even think of leaving! Will you make a daring escape in a ridiculous raincoat or will you just give up and watch TV? But what if you run out of snacks? Or the TV reception dies?!

I don't know. [ she laughs softly, definitely not picking up on any of his hesitance or awkwardness. ] I just got thinking about you and Nate and there was stacks of Cosmos when I was getting my hair done today, I mean, it's not weird, is it? Wanting to try something new?

No, I just wanted to know what you were thinking of. [he sits up all the way and does a little stretch. such sexy joint popping noises.] Usually people don't say stuff like that without having at least one particular idea in mind.

Oh. I haven't. [ she shifts to sit since he's all moving and stuff now. ] There was thirty one things on that weird list, I haven't exactly narrowed it down.

[ she does her usual post fight/tiff and just lays down to ignore him. if she trusted the pipes not to be fucked up from the storm she would take a bath. fuck this, she's finding a new apartment. with rooms. and furniture. and a couch. so yes, she will aggressively look for apartments on her tablet. good, genuinely productive use of her time. ]

It was just an offer. [he internally bristles and goes back to looking at his phone.] I've been thinking about moving, myself. Sonja would probably love my apartment a hell of a lot more than I do.

When are you even at your apartment? [ she looks over her shoulder at him curiously. ]

Exactly. I essentially go there to sleep. It's near Sonja's school, it's a good neighborhood, and honestly I'd rather help her with the rent than let her keep living at home [with their crazy mom]. I don't know, I was just thinking about it.

Not that I don't think it's a good plan, I do, and Sonja and I've already talked about how she should get her own apartment, but do you think she'd let you help? [ because karamazovs are stubborn motherfuckers. ]

[he knows ... especially since he is one of the most stubborn.] I didn't say that it wouldn't take time to get her to warm up to it.

[ she hums an agreeable noise, turning back to the screen and flicking through some more listings until she finds out she likes that isn't... seventy million dollars. she is rich, but that is absurd. she lingers on one apartment in particular, skipping back to it after looking at others. ] What'd'ya think? It even allows pets, so Sonja can keep convincing me I need a cat.

[he makes an amused little scoffing noise as he reads over the listing.] What are you going to do with three bedrooms and four baths in the middle of the UES?

A room for one night stands. [ she shrugs. it'll probably wind up being a room for ayla, lbr, ] And an entire room for my shoes.
