i will follow you into the dark; a darker shipping meme
It's the end of the line for you.. No matter how long you've been here on this planet, in this universe, that time is over now. Pain wracks your body, or perhaps it doesn't as you drift away from this life. All that remains is that ever fading light -
And the face of the one you care for the most.
For they are joining you on this last journey, as difficult or as easy as it can be. This could have been planned - you wanted to die together - or you both happened to be in the same place at the same time. Your world could be crashing down around you in a final armageddon; you could not be missed, the world turning without you two in it. One of you brought this onto you both; you tried to save your companion. You killed them yourself. It was all an accident...this wasn't supposed to happen...
How you've come to this doesn't matter so much in hindsight, though your sight is dimming as it as. What does matter is how you spend these last few moments with the person who means so much to you. If you're lucky, the two of you have lived a long, happy life together. Those who find themselves faced with a more tragic ending will have just realized their feelings for each other.
You don't have long, only a few moments. Make of them what you can. Reveal your secrets, touch their hand one last time, give them an embrace or a kiss. Apologize, if you see fit. Do what you did in life, but make it count and hope that you will see them again somehow.
- Comment with your character and preferences. If you have any ideas or anything you do not want to touch, be sure to include those, too.
- You can play this as serious and as dark as you'd like.

His hand moves from his arm to the hand grabbing at his jacket, gently prying her fingers from the fabric to hold them in his own. There's blood on both their hands, big surprise. He can feel his own rising urge to cough, phone clattering to the pavement as he turns his head, buries it in his sleeve. It's painful as hell, but like Katherine, it leaves him able to breathe a little easier, if at the cost of blood sinking into the fabric of his inner elbow.
Looks like he's taking her away from Vincent in the end, anyway. What a miserable thought.]
... I'm sorry. [He shifts, moves to lay down next to her to make it easier on her. On them both, dizziness starting to strike him. His phone's completely forgotten now, just white noise in the background of his focus, and he keeps her hand in his, as long as she's willing to let him hold it.
There's so many things he could say. The movies would tell him to confess his hidden love for her, now or never, before he lost the chance to ever do it again. But he won't. He's the one that caused this, piling that on would be selfish of him. No, all he can do now is try to help Katherine as much as he can... even if it's just by attempting to comfort her before the end.
At least he got this night with her, and he gets to be by her side now. At least neither of them are alone.]
Just... focus on me 'til t-the ambulance gets here... okay?

Yeah... okay.
[ It's a fight for her to keep her eyes open, eyes blinking as she struggles to hold onto some form of consciousness. Her already extremely stressed psyche is trying to figure out how to handle this turn of events. Meanwhile her body is on overdrive, both trying to keep her alive while partially beginning to shut down as her oxygen stores decrease, doubling the work of her heart. She can feel a difference with the bounding pulse in her temples, though the irregularities start to become something of a mercy as it slowly begins to die down.
Clutching Jonny's hand tightly, she finally allows her eyes to fall closed as that feeling of drowning returns to her. Releasing a soft whimper she bows her head down toward her free hand again, coughing harder, blood spilling out in clumps against her already stained hand. Eyes squeezed shut, she doesn't move any more after that, simply trying to keep herself calm. ]
This is t-terrifying... [ It's a difficult thing for her to admit. Who ever anticipated their own death? There's no real way to prepare for something like this. And it seems inevitable when she can literally feel herself slipping away with each and every struggled breath she takes. ]
