(now rin-chan thinks i have ghosts, he tells Rei, which is a mistake, because Rei responds with a flood of information about what can happen to the human psyche when the wrong damage is inflicted during an altered state. He sends Rei a heart and ignores his texts.)

Just because he ignores the reams of information Rei likes to send him doesn't mean he doesn't take their basic meaning to heart. Maybe it would be better not to freak Rin out too much, just in case. Happy ghosts are a reasonable compromise, right?

Okay, okay. Nagisa may still be giggling, but he is capable of recognizing when enough is enough.

He doesn't always acknowledge it, but he is capable of recognizing it.

He puts his phone aside and finally gets up and goes over to Rin.

"I'm going to get some water, Rin-chan. Are you thirsty?"
