LET'S TEST DRIVE MEME

App time is rolling on up again and there's always at least one character you'd like to test out, right?

So let's give 'em a test run!

How to:

1. DO NOT LEAVE AN EMPTY COMMENT.

Post a prompt; it can be as simple as one sentence or as complicated as a multi-choice post. It's up to you, but do not leave a blank comment. Need some help? Here are some ideas:

He looked at each picture and raised a brow glancing at her. "You work for CTU?" He glanced around a moment. "It's possible."

"That's how we met. I was transferred to LA in 2000 and we worked together all the time. You were married but you'd been having problems and after an overnight assignment, we were together. She didn't know about me but your wife asked you to move out a month later and we've been together ever since." she explained, "I quit work in 2006 to stay home with the kids."

"I've never met you. Maybe we missed meeting. I don't know." This was a lot to take, it was as if something was taunting him with something he had in another world, but missed ever getting himself. A big cosmic mind fuck.

[sammmy]

"I'm not making this up. Everything I told you, it's all happened." she insisted, "I don't know what's going on." She just wanted her family back.

[simplyadapted]

"I believe you." He smiled handing her pictures back to her.

[sammmy]

She tried to smile back but it wasn't very convincing as she took her pictures back and stuffed them in her purse. "Now what am I supposed to do?" she asked, not exactly directing that question to him. "I'm sorry I bothered you. I guess I should be going." To where, she had no clue.

"No. Wait." He smiled just a tad. "You shouldn't wander off alone."

[sammmy]

She stopped and glanced up at him before looking away, on the verge of tears from not having her family anymore. "What else can I do? My Jack is in my world and probably thinks I'm dead. What if I never get back? I'll never see him or our kids again." she sighed. "Is there another one of me running around here?"

[simplyadapted]

"I don't know. I've never seen you, but maybe we can find out." His brow wrinkled again.

[sammmy]

There was a good reason he hadn't seen her before in that reality. "Maybe we can find out if my mom is still here. She died when I was fourteen." she said softly.

[simplyadapted]

"We can go look you up, see where you are." He offered, maybe that would reassure her a little.

[sammmy]

She nodded her head, "And then go to the cemetery and see if my mother is still there?" she asked. If she was still alive, she didn't want to just run into her.

"Sure we can do that." He motioned for her to walk with him.

Even though he wasn't her Jack, she felt at ease with him and headed off down the street with him. "Do you still work for CTU? Or did you work for them?"

[simplyadapted]

"I used to. Not sure about now. There were some issues, and I had to go into hiding. I just got a pardon to return home." He glanced at her, ten years she had said. That meant her Jack didn't go through losing so many.

[sammmy]

"Is this where you're supposed to be...this reality?" she asked, thinking how different his life would have been from her Jack. "Where were you in hiding or can you say?"

[simplyadapted]

"Best not tell. Easier for everyone." At her question he wasn't sure and looked at her. "That's a good question."

[sammmy]

"Easier for everyone?" she huffed a bit. "I'm stuck in a world without MY Jack who I love more than I've ever loved anyone and I don't know if I'll ever see him again, not to mention our kids but you not telling is easier for everyone? How is it easier for me?"

[simplyadapted]

Jack was taken by surprise at the outburst, or at least her words. He frowned unsure of what to say now. She wasn't the only at a loss at the whole ordeal.

[sammmy]

"I just don't see how you not telling me if this is your reality is easier on me." she said in a softer tone. "I'm sorry I yelled but this is a bit of a shock and if I don't yell, I'm gonna cry and I know you don't want that. After ten years, it still makes my Jack uncomfortable."

[simplyadapted]

"Oh. No. I meant it was best I didn't tell you where I was in hiding. Sorry." And he actually looked apologetic at not making that clearer. God. Crying. He wasn't sure he was even that great at comforting.

[sammmy]

"Oh, no I know you couldn't tell me that. It never hurts to ask." she said, feeling silly for misunderstanding what he'd been talking about. "I don't know how I screwed all of that up. I just want to go home." She had a feeling it might never happen and she kept trying to push that out of her mind.

"I'll find a way to get you home." If only at least one version of him deserves to be happy.

"Do you think there's a way?" she asked, trying not to get too excited. "Maybe we can get you home too if this isn't yours."

"We'll worry about you first." He took her back to his place. It was a small, one bedroom apartment. He wasn't the neatest guy at the moment, but he tried picking up a little as they walked inside.
