The Mistletoe Meme

Oh no, mistletoe!

Image from http://www.localnomad.com/en/blog/2012/11/26/why-people-kiss-under-the-mistletoe-at-christmas/

SHOOT. Who put that there?! Well, you’re caught - pucker up!

How to Play

  1. Post your character and canon in the subject line
  2. Next person who responds is the one you’re caught under the mistletoe with!
  3. Go as awkward, sweet, or embarrassing as you like! (Quick cheek peck? Full French? Sure! But you have to kiss or the Nargles will get you!)
  4. Comment, Tag, and catch others under the mistletoe. Have fun!

[Tony lights up at her, visibly.]

It'd be great to have you on hand for that. It's not really Bruce's field, and I need someone smart to look over the results with, you know? Besides, I like being around you. You're a lot more genuine than most people.

[ A flush. ]

Well I do try. It would be a shame if everyone acted the same.

I know, but so many scientists put on this air, you know? This fake 'distinguished and serious' face that I just hate - call me unprofessional, because I am, but I really prefer it when people aren't afraid to just be who they are and cut the bullshit. It's like a breath of fresh air, honestly.

[ She nods with earnestness. ]

I know exactly what you mean. And it's terrible. Why do so many people in the profession think that means the end to all fun?

I got into the profession because it was fun, and exciting, and damn satisfying to make something out of nothing or discover something new. If you're not happy as a scientist, then hey, go do what actually makes you happy, you know? My mother was a Science major who switched to Art mid-college and was a helleva lot happier for it.
