The Crossover Blind Date Meme

The universe has a funny way of bringing people together. Some twists of fate bring together two individuals that might have never met otherwise. Some of those twists are called blind dates.

And this time, matchmakers are going multiversal.

THE RULES:

1. Post with your character! They're now in the middle of a blind date.

A cop huh? Thats awesome. I used to be a cop in Baltimore, now I work for the government, mostly doing paperwork and stuff.

*Yeah, mentioning that he's a special agent and goes undercover all the time probably isn't the best thing to start out saying.*

The government, huh? What's that like? [He'd rather talk about someone else than him, it was easier to avoid lying that way.]

Doing nothing gets either really boring or really expensive, really quickly [Not that he wasn't kept plenty of busy with his 'hobby', and not that he didn't have the money]

Whats it like?

*well, it's like shooting people, getting shot at, long hours, being held captive you know run of the mill.*

Its the usual stuff some good days some bad days... *he said shrugging.*

What do you do then, if your not working, do you have any hobbies or anything?

Pretty much like any job then? [Laughs slightly]

Well, I actually grew up in a circus [he says it a little warily, because he's never sure how people take that] so I like to keep in practice with my acrobatics.

Woah! That's so cool! *he said laughing and leaning forward, really interested.* So you do the trapeeze and stuff like that? That's really cool. I can't do any acrobatics, i would fall and break something, i'm more of a running kind of guy, there is nothing like going for a run to let the sress of the day leave. Why did you leave the circus? I've actually never been to one before.

Trapeze is my speciality, although I can walk the highwire too [he pretty much learnt to walk on the highwire. While he talks about it, his eyes light up a little]
anything up high and I'm in my element, it's like flying.

[It fades at the question though, because that's an awkward subject for a first date, but it's a hard one to avoid as well]

My parents... there was an accident [a murder], someone else took me in after that.

I skydived once. It was awesome! I know what you mean about flying its pretty awesome, but i tend to like to keep both feet on the ground most of the time. *he smiled at him.* So where do you get to practice all this acrobat stuff, i didnt think there were places like that around here.

[Laughs slightly, pushing aside the sadness with practiced ease] I don't think I can keep my feet on the ground, it just feels more natural to be in the air, for me.

There's gyms you can practice in, if you know where to look. I was lucky that Bruce had one built in the house when I moved in [well, technically he just expanded the training area he already had, but that's one of those little details he keeps secret]

*Tony's heart hammered in his chest and his face fell, and the mention of this Bruce guy. Bab's had mentioned Bruce briefly, but if he had built him a acrobatic training facility, then there was no way he could compete with that. He brought the carefree smile back to his face after the little slip.*

Well that does seem pretty lucky.

[Dick was observant, he'd learnt to be, so he noticed the slip, but he couldn't work out what it was...unless maybe... he didn't know how much Babs had told him, but it was the only thing he could think of, so he decided it would be best to clarify, nice and casual like]

Yea, it really helped when I was a kid. Bruce was, is, a great dad.

Dad? Bruce is your Dad? You call your Dad Bruce? *he asks trying to get his head areound that. So Bruce wasn't his ex, well that makes him feel better.*

Well he took me in after what happened to my parents, I've always called him Bruce [or Batman]... I mean he is pretty much a dad to me after all this time, but I only call him dad occasionally. You should see his face when I do though [grins]

That sounds kinda like me and Gibbs, he's more of a dad than my own, he's tough but he's good. -he smiled fondly thinking of Gibbs-

That's good, that you have such a good relationship with him I mean. [grins] does that mean if this gets serious I'll have to meet him?
[That was a dumb thing to say on a first date and he cringes slightly as soon as the words are out of his mouth, but he's said it now so he can't exactly take it back]

Yeah you will. Don't let him intimidate you. He's pretty scary but he's like a puppy, we'll bring him a coffee to tame him. -he smiled-

[Laughs, glad Tony doesn't seem to be taking it badly]

Bruce is the same, very intimidating. It's Alfie you gotta watch out for though.

I can handle anything. -he smiled playfully at him- I'm quite the charmer. Whose Alfie?

Ah... I think I might have to come clean about something here [his face gets very serious for a moment and he looks like he's about to admit something dramatic]

Bruce is... rich. Completely loaded. [grins] Alfie, he's the butler. He's been with the Wayne family since Bruce was a kid, so he's pretty much part of the family himself. He makes excellent cookies and he's incredibly protective of me and my brothers. Bruce too, I suppose.

-tony braced himself for the news but in the end rolled his eyes.- that's it? You actually had me worried for a second... That's cool. Trust me after living with Gibbs I can handle almost anyone. I'm a trooper and I was a cop.

I'll remind you of that when he's staring you down in all his... britishness. [grins. He shouldn't be talking about this like it's going to last, not that he doesn't want it to, but he probably shouldn't think like that so soon. Besides, Babs might've told him to get back on the horse but it wasn't that long since he and... he shouldn't be diving straight into something else, should he?]
