Isn't it so awkward when people set you up on dates? Blind dates can fail tremendously in the worst possible ways... or, sparks can fly. It's really impossible to know until you meet whether you'll make that connection!

1. Post with your character, name and series in the title.
2. In the comment, list your character's preferences. Gender, place on the morality spectrum, hair color, whatever.
3. Reply to other characters with someone who you think fits their preferences.
4. They are now in a (date location), having been set up on a date by a mutual friend/dating service/whatever.
5. Enjoy! Or don't enjoy! Whichever.

[ Kohran's arrival is much less seen by her long purple hair and red qipao dress, but more of the bulky motorbike she's riding, that leaves a trail of steam in its wake. It looks very much out of place in a world of advanced technologies. One of her friends at the theater had set her up for this, and, well, she's not too against the idea! It's just like making new friends, right?

After parking (thank goodness she didn't crash this time; too many people around!) and confirming that she's at the correct café and that she's not late, she scans the area and she's briefly assisted by a waiter who directs her to a table. She arrives with a ready smile -- ]

[Leon isn't sure how the others managed to coerce him into this. He's no good on dates... never has been. He was told to meet the mystery woman at a local cafe, and after much prodding by Aerith and Yuffie, finally gave in. It'd be worth it if it would at least make them leave him alone.

The girls told him to look out for a blond haired, blue eyed woman, and unfortunately there's only one in the cafe. That means he can't just back out, claiming not to have found his date.

With an inward sigh, Leon walks over to the table where the woman is sitting and takes a seat across from her.]

Several legitimate businesses in the LA area had grown tired of a certain Mr. Laufeyson and his very costly shenanigans; they were certain that he had used different forms to adulterate their various branches of business--be it the form a duck, an attractive woman, or even a demonic washing machine that would eat socks--and had united for the sole purpose of solving this problem, pooled together a very large sum of money, and looked over options.

A restraining order was out of the question.
An exorcist wouldn't work.
Oh. And, that was when the various business folk came up with the idea to use a different sort of exorcist...
One of the business heads, who ran the [classified] Dating Service and was sick of Mr. Laufeyson messing with the dates that they would arrange, came up with the scheme and the others, who had no ideas of their own, ran with it. They simply needed to find someone who was willing to take the job.

Lady Shiva, a woman who was known for her stoic nature, simply laughed in their faces when she got the offer. Typhoid Mary told them she, Mary, and Typhoid were already seeing a counselor to make their relationship work and didn't need a fourth person to complicate things. Cheshire told them that she preferred to be the toxic half of a pair. Taskmaster simply tried to kill them. Deathstroke reminded the folks that he was using more of his brain than any of them would've dreamed of using and, so, he was able to see the holes in this plan that they probably weren't. Bullseye insisted he had to wash his hair that night. Deadpool simply told them that Loki wasn't his type--but to call him if they got a hold of the Olsen twins or Bea Arthur's magnificently resurrected self.

When Deadshot got the offer, he simply shrugged and said, "got time to kill." There was nothing good on the tube and Floyd was always up for a decent-paying job that risked life-and-limb. Deadshot's business affairs were usually kept out of L.A.--as this was Iron Man's territory, and Floyd had problems enough with the Bat--but Floyd's records had been recently cleaned after some time of government service, and he was good to operate anywhere so long as he had a good cover, stuck to it, and didn't get it blown.

Although Deadshot had been hired by the Government of the old U. S. of A. to shoot things for them, he didn't have access to any of the SHIELD info--let alone knowledge that the organization existed; he was unable to find any brokers that sold intel on the target for a price within his budget, so he simply settled for a quick glance at Loki's wiki page and that was it.

As the plan indicated, Floyd put himself through the dating circuit for a good two weeks, under the name 'Brad Rowe', on the chance that one of those dates would be with the god of mischief; he'd watch for some signs--i.e. too many things going wrong and the other date simply laughing at each awful outcome.

Tonight's date was arranged in some fancy-ass, Italian restaurant. A monkey-suited Floyd waited at a private table; their spot had a good view of the city, so the assassin tried to enjoy it, or look like he was enjoying it, as he fumbled with a bottle of something that he brought for the "date".

[It was somebody's stupid idea to set Ayumi up on a date. And it was Ayumi's stupid idea to agree to it. It wasn't so much that she was opposed to the idea of dating, but just that a blind date sounded so ridiculously anachronistic and medieval. Grandmother might have approved of it, but then again, probably not, because it wasn't with a guy.

That's all that her 'benefactor' had told her. It was a woman. And Table 5. Ayumi took her place at the table, a few minutes early, her hair (currently dark blue) flowing around her shoulders, matching a formfitting dress. She would have felt more comfortable in her uniform, but whatever.

It was probably not the best idea to wear an X-Men uniform on a date anyway ...]
