THE HUNGER GAMES MEME

Congratulations, Tribute.
You have been selected to participate in the Hunger Games.
The rules are simple: there can only be one victor.
You have to kill everyone else or die.
The last one standing wins.
May the odds be in your favour.

⚔
OPTIONS FOR THE SCENARIO-MINDED:
1. ENEMIES: in for the kill
The truth is you've been plotting each other's death for a long time. The only thing different about this situation is that everyone else actually wants you to off each other. Who cares if both of you are probably going to die anyway: no one is taking this bastard down except you.
2. ROMANCE: lovers in a dangerous time
What do lovers do when they know they're about to die? Last kiss, last words, last fuck? Maybe you're desperately trying to protect each other from the rest. Maybe you're the last two left alive. What sacrifices are you willing to make? How far will you allow each other to go?
3. ALLIES: set your arms down
It's in both of your best interests to stick together. Two together is more deadly than one, and you can pool supplies and weapons. Of course, this arrangement is most definitely temporary. Maybe it'll fall apart tonight, or tomorrow, or next week. Maybe your alliance has already run its course, and it's about to fall apart...right now.
4. TORTURE: death's not the worst
Sure, the point is to kill them. But why leave it at that? Maybe you've always secretly gotten off on this sort of thing, or maybe you've just cracked under the stress. When everyone is going to die, there's no point in sticking to all those rules society laid down for you any more. You've already incapacitated them; there's no way they can fight back. Might as well have some fun, right?
5. VICTORY: the finish line
You've done it. Last one standing. You've chosen to live, and no one but you knows how much that choice cost you, because they're all dead. At this point there's nothing that will stop you from stepping up to claim victory. You killed every other tribute. Or did you?
6. OTHER: write your own story
Anything and everything you can think of. In the arena, there are no rules.

Let the Games begin.

[Just going to hug you tight and never let go, okay?]

Until they're all alone, in the middle of a field, wrapped in each other's arms. And she realizes they're all alone now. ]
We can't win together, Dave.
[ Someone's got to die, she thinks. But she's not sure if she can make herself kill him. ]
no subject
[And that's what makes this whole damn game so fucked up - he's been working so hard to protect her, and he doesn't mind dying in order to let her win, but-]
You shouldn't have to do this. I'm sorry.

[ There's a firmness in her voice. ]
And you are not going to die! We could run away, or-- I don't know, but we'll think of something!
[ With a tracking device in their forearm, it's highly unlikely. jade knows this. But she doesn't want to give up yet. ]
no subject
There's nowhere to run. Come on, Jade, let's just make it quick for us both.

[ Instead of killing him, she steps forward and kisses him instead. It's rough and sloppy, but right now she doesn't really care. Anything to take his mind -- and the minds of the Capitol -- off of their inevitable conclusion. ]

Eventually, she has to pull away for air. ]
I love you.

2; its on betches
But there can only be a few reasons why that could be.
Perhaps someone is hiding and ready to jump at the best moment.
Or...]
Harley...? [It could just be you two are the last ones. It's likely. With everything going on so quickly, it just felt more like a blur.]
awwww yes
Dave!

Harle-Jade. I think this is it. [It was a simple statement, but it meant so much.]
no subject
Maybe we could just nap, or something, but I'm not going to hurt you!
no subject
What happens after the nap though? We can't just call it quits here. [And for once he wanted to. To just say 'I'm done' and call it quits. But they're in a fucked up game that won't let them stop.] We could nap. But you know that it'll only prolong what happens next.

Dave, you have to go home. To Bro, and John and Rose...you have to leave me here, okay?
no subject
You know I can do that. Shit. Jade, I don't want to leave you here. You know I was fucking scared out of my mind that I wouldn't see you again? That this crazy fucking place would get you or me both? It was all fucked up. This fucking thing is all fucked up.

There could only be one winner. And there could only be one Jade.
Regardless, she still thought enough of her original self to not just try to pick her off from range, and instead pops out of the bushes to stare her down]
J... Jade.
no subject
Jade's never used a knife like this in her life -- the last death was purely accidental, the girl tried to kill her and what choice did she have but to retaliate? The body's gone, leaving nothing but a blood stain in the grass and the remains of something dripping off of Jade's long, sharp weapon of choice. ]
Jade.
[ They've sounded 22 canons. There's only one left. ]
no subject
[and yet she's fidgeting with her quiver of darts. She hadn't made any kills herself, but she's sure she'd been the cause of at least one or two assists- poison tends to debilitate, even when it doesn't kill.]
But... there can only be one of us. W-winners. Jades.
And it's going to be m-me.
[The air is quiet between the two girls.
It'll be interrupted by cannonfire soon enough.]
no subject
[ She had planned to kill her off earlier, but Jade had taken pity on Jadesprite -- she's weak, she thought. She'll never make it through. And then she did.
Jade throws the knife hard and fast, dropping to the ground and rolling to avoid those stupid poison darts. Her hands close around the one she shoved into her boot, pulling it loose. ]
5
and so she'd made it to the end, hands crusted in blood and head held high. if there was anyone else left (and maybe there was. she hadn't killed everyone, after all) they'd be coming out soon. one last trial before she could leave.]
no subject
Still, there's one left. The knife first, she thinks. Jade's hiding in the brush, but she moves with the barest of sounds, knives in either hand, attempting to leap onto Nepeta's back. ]
no subject
and here they come now. Nepeta shifts a little, crouches down and reaches up to try and keep her attacker's leap going and slam her onto the ground. if that works it'll be easier to gut them.]
