Give him another minute and the tie option is going to be pretty fuckin viable.

"No, I fell in," he snaps, scowling at the tie in the mirror.

He steps out, pushing the door open. "How necessary is this thing, anyway?"

It's not like he's the only one who has to dress up.

She's just putting it off as long as possible at the moment.

"Extremely," she replies with a small sigh and gets up moving over to him. Hands coming up she goes about fixing his tie or at least trying to.

"What the...did you tie this in a damn knot?"

Yeah, but she gets all pretty while he's like, all confine and tightened and strangled.

Chuck doesn't pout because he's a grown man and a Jaeger pilot so nope.
But it's an expression.

"I'm in the suit," he grumbles. "Why can't I leave off the tie?"

Trust her, she'll wind up throwing a fit as well the second she has to zip up the dress.

"Cause it'll look ridiculous without the tie," she mumbles under her breath while getting the small knot out.

Deft fingers work quickly to get it done properly before she leans back a bit. Chuck might not like being confined in the black suit but, he sure as hell made it look good.

"Nah, it'll look like a classy carefree sort of look," he complains, lifting his head to let her work.

But it's uncomfortabbble he can't move.

"We only have to endure this for an hour," she sighs out softly, hell she didn't want to go either.

Sliding her hands over his arms she smiles softly. "Believe me I'm going to be bitching too in a couple minutes." With that she turns around to grab the dress that's concealed in a bag off the bed and moves past him into the bathroom.

"And then we can sneak off and have sex in the bathroom?" He calls after her hopefully.

"....I've seen you naked, you don't have to change in the bathroom."

"Bathroom sex? Really? She calls back before shaking her head to herself.

"Can't do my makeup without a mirror." Tara had been nowhere near ready. So she was multitasking doing makeup and hair while eying the dress hanging on the back of the door.

"Or make out, I could make out in a bathroom. They've gotta be nice ones, I wouldn't suggest it in the Shatterdome." He's looking for bribes here.

Chuck thought she looked fine without it, but shrugs and tugs at his tie with the hopes of loosening it.

There is a light chuckle coming from the bathroom suddenly. "If you can find us a nice bathroom then fine. But, the sex waits till we're back here."

Cause she's slightly afraid Chuck will just rip the damn suit off and well, that should be saved for private so he didn't have to walk back with a tattered suit.

Once both are done she unzips the stupid dress bag and pulls it on, fingers moving behind her to zip it about an inch since she couldn't reach higher.

"I accept your terms," he agrees gravely.

Oh come on he only ripped a shirt once.

"Let me know if you need a hand."

Okay, so if it was a really, really nice bathroom she might be swayed into sex.

Pushing the door open she pads out barefoot having almost the same look on he face he did when he came out in the suit.

She feels like she can't breath in the tight black number and it's not even zipped up yet.

"...you look amazing," he says, because it's true. "But you okay?"

The dress was black, low cut and a little shorter than she liked but, this had been a last minute thing and wel,l she had to go out and get what she could find.

"It's a little tight but, I'll be fine." She turns around and hooks a thumb toward her back to indicate she'd like to be zipped up.
