[ Something special. Hearing that from Nagisa somehow makes him feel more so. ]
I do.

It's like a sort of deja vu. Like we've met before we actually did.
You said I'm easy to talk to, but maybe it's because it's so easy to be around you.
And sometimes, the reassurance that people say I give them — I get it a little better now. Since I see it in you, too.
[ Maybe it's the sense of kinship from each heading a group of Phantom Thieves and the responsibilities that come with it. But that's only a fraction of it. ]
I even like it when we don't talk. Like when I'm sitting next to you in one of the booths at Leblanc, eating curry while you have coffee...
[ A warm feeling... a soft feeling. It's sort of abstract and hard to describe. Vaguely, Nagisa wonders if it's like cats who discover they were littermates as adults and bond more easily because of it. Something like that..?
...He probably shouldn't say that out loud. It's a bit weird. (He always thinks Akira's like a cat, though, and not just because of Morgana. He's just... very catlike... Nagisa swears he can almost see the ears...) ]
It's strangely relaxing. Like being rocked by the waves.
Well... I'm happy, if we each make the other feel at ease.
If there’s nothing to talk about, you could always help me with my crosswords. Who knows, maybe you’ll enjoy them too.
And then you can also get sucked into doing old man things.
[ Maybe if Akira really were a cat, those ears Nagisa’s imagining would be pointed, pivoting in his direction, listening keenly. It is nice even when they don’t have a reason for linking up, or even anything in particular to say to each other. Just the peace is enough. The forays into Mementos, of course, are a different thing entirely—not peaceful exactly, but, well. Those are their own kind of satisfaction. The type of thrill that leaves him sated, ready to chase down the last dregs with a sip of the mundane at the end of the day.

Morgana called me a trump card. I liked the sound of that.
Seems we both got codenamed by our friends.

Sometimes I feel as if the similarities between us can't possibly be a coincidence... Do you get that feeling, too?

A brief pause. Then: ]
Hmm. You really like the ocean, don’t you?
First the sharks, now the waves.
Have you ever been to see it?
