[ .. okay that description, while true, was still a little embarrassing hearing someone come right out and say it like that. ]

.. I know.. I think our age difference has been working against me there. And he probably doesn't want to make things difficult between us, with me being his client. Never mix work and pleasure, right? Although! He did have an opportunity to consider our contract ended, on a technicality, but he chose not to. So he still wants to see me around at least.

[ She's got her foot in the door! .. of friendship. She fears she might end up waiting for too long for her chance, that he ends up getting back with his ex. Or just flat out rejecting her - she could handle that part, but not if she never had a chance to throw her hat in the ring! ]
