1. Stabbed. You were stabbed, maybe multiple times.

[He smiles down at him, all the while carefully studying him, before answering.] I'm the Doctor and I'm only here to help. I do it because it's in my nature to do so.

[He won't even mention that he also does it to get people to like him before he ruins and destroys everything.]

A doctor, huh? Lucky me... Doctor from another dimension. [he mutters, wondering if he's really just hallucinating by now. He doesn't think he's lost that much blood.]

[He walks over to a big, red button and stands there, hand hovering over it.] Don't worry, you worry wart; everything will be fine.

You didn't answer my question. [sharply.]

[Mello tried to sit up, succeeding in getting only about as far as propping himself up on his elbows.]

Only here to help. [Button pushed and the golden glow of nanogenes fall around his body like a shower.]

[Mello lets out a sound of surprise, dropping back down onto the bed. His first instinct is to fight because he doesn't know what's going on or what this stuff is-- but it starts working almost instantly. He stares at the Doctor, falling still, and when the treatment or whatever it was finishes, he sits up slowly, hand to the bloodied clothes over where the worst wound was.]

Are you going to answer me now? What was that?

Your dimension must be a hell of a lot different from mine.

[He finally takes the time to have a good look around, remembering the small phone booth they stepped into. With the proof before his eyes and the fact he's seen strange things before, Mello's inclined to believe him.]

Nanogenes. Fixed you right up. [He smiles crookedly.] And I'm not from a different dimension.

[He frowns thoughtfully, swinging his legs over to sit on the edge of the bed. He does feel perfectly fine now, mostly confused and annoyed at being confused. and at having to be helped.]

But this is a different dimension? That's what you said earlier.

Oh yeah it is, but not in the sense of a different universe like some of you lot think. [Impossible now.]

Explain what? The different dimension thing? [He pulls out two black boxes; a small one and a large one.] Which one's larger?

Yes. Explain what you mean.

[He eyes the boxes dubiously.]

Going only by the visual appearance and if this wasn't a trick question, which I suspect it is-- [He points] Obviously.

[He smiles, knowingly, placing the larger box on the ground and walking to him with the small box.] Now which is larger?

Spatial perception. It looks larger because it's closer. [starting to get annoyed.]

What's your point?

[Patience is a virtue...] Well, we if you could put that box -- [He points to the larger, farther away box.] -- in this box. [The smaller, closer box.]

You could just say 'it's bigger on the inside.'

And you still haven't explained how. You can use words instead of boxes, you know.

Yeah, I could have. And it's transdimensional engineering, something that I'm not going to get into right now.

So it's designed to go between dimensions?

Yes, it can, but -- it's not very safe and impossible to do so now.

Why?

What's it supposed to do? There must be a reason it looks small enough to be disguised as a phone booth, and I doubt it's just your fancy house.
