The patch-up job's great and all, but I don't know a thing about you. For all I know, you--

[oop, there's the adrenaline rush wearing off. It's surprisingly sudden, and startles him into shutting up long enough to focus on not falling. Mello sways, still glaring at the Doctor]

[The Doctor smiles at him, warmly.] I'm the Doctor, I'm a Time Lord from the planet of Gallifrey, which is located in the constellation of Kasterborous, at galactic coordinates 10-0-11-0-0 by 0-2 from Galactic Zero Centre. I am over a thousand years old. And this? [He pauses to gesture around him.]

Is the TARDIS, which enables me to travel through time and space. I help people in need and that's all you need to know. Now, please, get some shut-eye, will you?

[He stubbornly stands there through the little speech, taking in the information and memorizing it for further exploration at a time when his brain isn't trying to shut down and force him to rest. Mello nods slowly, grudgingly. He doesn't want to stay here, not because the Doctor has done anything to make him suspicious but because he's suspicious by nature-- but it's not like there's anywhere better, and the bed is so close...]

Fine.

[He backs up to sit down on the mattress again with a half-muffled sigh of relief.]

Never spent the night in an alien's time machine before. [he mutters, sleepily.]
