[Usa leaves some money on the table for her portion and brushes the front of her dress clean.]

Are you going to show me the axe kick?

Hell yeah, I am. You have to learn it-- it's a rite of passage.

[She begins to weave through the tables toward the exit.]

A rite of passage. Well, I wouldn't want to ignore tradition.

[Usa takes quick look around. Huh, so this is what the outside of the Denny's looks like.]

How much space are we going to need?

[can’t believe her life is gonna be fighting at the back of a dennys but here they are]

Further into the parking lot, maybe?

[Usa looks around for a nice open area with no cars. Strange how few there are. She points to a wide space which is actually near the back of the Denny's.]

Over there looks good. So is there anything I should be doing before we start? Stretching?

[you'd think with how popular it is here....oh well. Smiling, she begins to stretch her arms over her head, a practiced moton]

That's always good-- do you usually do stretches?

[Usa chalked it up to people simply appearing at Denny's rather than driving there. She doesn't have a car of her own. A mystery to be sure. She'll do some quick stretches, arms over her head, leaning side to side, balancing on one leg and then the other.]

I don't always have a lot of warning before jumping into a fight, but this is practice so... I guess I should.

[Elena moves on to stretching out her own long legs, sighing a little]

No matter how much you practice, I don't know if anyone could be ready for everything. Except my boss, maybe.

[Usa watches Elena and tries to mimic some of her stretches.]

Oh? What are they like?

[she slows her moves so Usa can copy them a little more]

He's amazing. Ready for anything, really strong and smart.

[It's amazing she hasn't pulled muscles getting into sudden fights with monsters and aliens. Something something magic, probably. She'll need to transform if things get too intense. That'll be fun explain. Until then, she copies Elena with much more ease thanks to the slower motions.]

I had a couple friends like that. Have? I need to sort that out soon. Anyway, I think I'm as ready as I'm going to get.

[she makes the motions slowly, but fluidly, as though she's been doing them forever, none of the nervous, excited energy in her limbs]
