Last week.
A woman I was becoming friends with was killed by her abusive boyfriend and he tried to frame me for it since I beat the tar out of him earlier for hurting her.

She was a very kind woman.

[ It's always the kind ones that get taken too soon. Bruce thinks briefly of Alex and all the light he brought to his life despite being a flicker in it before Ra's killed him. He knows all too well what it's like to lose a friend. ]

How did you meet?

She was a waitress at a diner I started to going to frequently.
We would sit and talk a lot on her breaks.

Do you still go to the diner? To keep the memory of her with you? Or does that make it harder?

Every once in a while I still go but it's lost a lot of it's charm without her being there, it feels less warm.
