I like to do my job and stay out of people's way.

( not an earthling, but still smaller than d-16. he leans in to emphasize just what a big deal this all is: )

One person's tardiness creates a chain reaction. In hurts everyone, especially those who rely on us the most. It's unacceptable.

( so, yes, take away all his christmas gifts as punishment. )

[Standing only at 6'6", he is, of course, significantly smaller, but he shows no trepidation towards this much larger being.

I understand your sentiment. So long as it doesn't occur again, I think it is a small enough misstep to be easily forgiven for. It's important to learn from those and do better.

[Though it doesn't come easy, he offers a genuine smile.]

I tend to prefer to be as ahead in my work as possible, to compensate for the rare times I myself am tardy.
