[ sometimes missions go great, sometimes they go badly, sometimes they go blandly. and okay, maybe that's a little mean: it's a new m-class planet with warp-capable technology, first contact, and a lot of risky diplomatic moves involved while they're trying to figure out the customs and faux pas of a species they've never encountered before and the universal translator is still struggling to keep up with as it fills in the blanks.

'risky' is being kind. it's dull as hell.

but they've been invited to stay on-planet for the duration of their diplomatic liaison and that's fine, it's a good sign for progress, so the away team all get secured away in separate rooms in what seems to be a pretty nice home. one to a room despite them being big enough to fit more, such as two people who are, in fact, dating.

But sometimes, sometime there are some that are foolish enough to think they could attack this 2-man, 1-robot party at their camp and think they would win and abscond with their items.

Doty warns them of the approaching group, and they're on their feet and ready to go. Astarion didn't have armour on, but with Taryon's spells augmenting his defense there's not much worry. Well, there was one worry: they outnumbered them quite a bit.

But, really, that just equals out to more fun, more excitement for Astarion. More people for him to kill who deserved it. And when Taryon has to get in on the fight, it stirs something more in him, both a protectiveness that dredges up all sorts of feelings, and exhilaration seeing him get some blood on him.

All this to say: it turns Astarion on.

Once the fight is finished, he's exhausted. The fight was hard, and the trek that day was harder, but he still wants him, so as soon as they're within the light of their fire, he's on Taryon, grabbing him behind his head and kissing him hard.]</small.
