[It wasn't necessarily caginess that kept him from opening up to the others, mostly social ineptness, but as he did begin to open up he did feel a strange vulnerability. But he knows what he feels isn't on the same level as Astarion feels, and for very good reason.]

[ They do share a deeper bond, more so than he could have ever imagined. If it wasn't for the growth he's experienced travelling with Any (and by some extension the rest of them) he would have already ended the conversation.

He doesn't want to, not really and that still feels strange to him. ]

Should I play it up for the rest of them? Make sure that my legacy of pompous behaviour stays intact?
