Two characters have to share a room for the night. Every room is occupied, but fortunately there is one last room available.

There's just one problem — there's only one bed, and the characters aren't comfortable sharing it.

[ She jumped a bit at the voice, glancing over at the other man worriedly. However the situation came about it didn't really matter, but.. ]

That .. would hardly be fair to you...

But he's not about to suggest that first.]

[ She was trying not to think about that option . . . only as a final alternative. ]

It really wouldn't be a problem - I have slept on the floor - or ground - before during overnight patrols.

[He's still a Knight, of sorts; chivalry is still a thing, so, no, he won't let her sleep on the floor.]

[ She doesn't exactly need his permission to sleep on the floor, is her reasoning. But it was also ridiculous to argue over who slept where - she didn't think it was right for him to sleep on the floor, he didn't think it was right for HER to sleep on the floor. ]

Very well. Then we'll split the bed. [ Not -literally- though. ]

[ Yang Yang rolled up one of the thicker bed covers, laying it lengthwise along the bed to serve as a barrier. It wasn't the biggest bed, and it'd be a tight fit, much to her displeasure. Though if she slept closer to the edge she'd be able to slip out of the bed easier. Though the way Suzaku questioned her suggestion got a side-glance. ]

If you find the suggestion so repugnant, you may sleep on the floor as you wished. No one is forcing you to share the bed, after all.

[ Though she had some mild concerns, she'd hoped the blanket barrier would at least keep him on THAT side of the bed and they wouldn't come into contact, preferably. ... She's gonna need another blanket. She's not gonna ASSUME he's a secret perv, but she's taking her precautions nonetheless. ]

[Firstly, he's an open perv (to a certain degree), hence his reason for asking to begin with.]

I don't find it repugnant... kind of the opposite, really. I just wanted to be clear on what you were proposing.

[Though, given the way she puts the blanket down the middle, makes her intentions clear. He raises an eyebrow as he sees how little space is left for them.]

You need not be concerned - as I've mentioned before, I have slept on far less comfortable surfaces. [ She patted the blankets in place - if she knew he was an open perv, she might be a little less comfortable with the idea of sharing the bed, even with a 'barrier'. As it was, she was still less than comfortable with the idea, but she didn't think it was fair to make him sleep on the floor either. ]

This arrangement should be safest, I think; wouldn't you agree? [ Presuming it worked. ]

[It's not ideal, but neither of them has to sleep on the floor. Though that still leaves one other issue, which is that he isn't sleeping in his clothes, and he isn't really ready for an overnight thing. So... he just heads over to his side of the bed, and starts to undress. Right there.]

[ That's definitely something she didn't calculate because she was sleeping in her clothes. Well except for her boots, hat and gloves but while she was removing those she heard the movement behind her. Glancing over her shoulder she let out a high pitched squeak and quickly turned away. ]

.. What are you DOING?

[He glances over his shoulder after he takes his shirt off.]

I'm getting ready for bed.

[And now he's starting to take off his pants.]
