The "Wedding Dress" Meme

In the past, weddings and marriages were simply business contracts to bind family and property together. Though that remains in some cultures, weddings in the modern day tend to be a time of joy, commitment, and looking forward to the future. That is, of course, if you're the one getting married to the person you love. But what if that person is getting married, and you're the one on the outside looking in? Maybe they left you, maybe you didn't know a good thing until it was gone, or perhaps they were forced into marrying someone else.
That decision is made, and the only one that remains is this: what will you do?
HOW TO PLAY
- Comment with your character and preferences. State whether or not you want your character being the one married or the one crashing the wedding - the default state, and for best results, is characters being able to do both.
- Tag others.
PROMPTS
1. Can't Believe What's Going On: You've just been told the "happy" news. How do you respond?
2. Screamin' Out of Control: There's still time before the wedding day. You could still talk them out of all this foolishness! You're the one they should be with!
3. Is It too Late?: Uh oh, it's the end of the line! You have to get to the church and crash this wedding.
4. Hurt the One I've Cared For: You were hesitant about trying to interfere, but then you heard the person your love is marrying has hurt them in some way.
5. I Was Never Perfect: You weren't exactly good to your ex-lover, and now you're willing to change. Too bad you picked this day to tell them that...
6. Making You Uncomfortable: This isn't a marriage of love, it's an arranged marriage! That stings even more, and you're determined to set things right.
7. Claimed Everything Was Okay: Right before the wedding, you're trying to get him/her to call it off, but they seem hesitant, even with the past history between you. They really love their spouse to be...or there's something else...
8. Gotta Keep My Cool, Be Calm: Okay, just barging in isn't the right thing to do. You have to find some way to get this wedding derailed, whether it be calling in an anonymous bomb threat, raising your army, or ordering party clowns.
9. No, No, No: There's nothing else to do but crash this in front of everyone the old fashioned way. I OBJECT!
10. I Know We're Done: It's your wedding being interrupted by a familiar face! Are you angry? Hurt? Happy?
11. Cause You Should Be My Lady: You're one of those people of dubious morals, so when in doubt, kidnap the object of your affection so they can't get married! Great plan!
12. Take My Hand: Or, on the other, more ethical side, they've come along with you and the two of you are going to start a life away from all of this.
13. I'd Never Let It Go: You may not even love this person or your love may not yet be clear, but one thing's for certain, and that's that you don't want to share or give them up.
14. Life Carries On: You've decided to let the wedding go on and live with your regrets.

Her dress was gaudy enough without having enough volume to hide a rifle. [Sherlock grumbles. He sucks in a sharp breath as they go over a bump in the road, and there's a glare towards the paramedic currently dressing the wound. He manages to not say anything until he's bitten back any possible snap, since technically the EMT couldn't help pressing down too hard there.
He's reminded of a case - particularly their first one together, and how he mercilessly stepped on a fallen man's bullet wound to extract information in his last moments of life. He finds it mildly ironic. Sherlock smiles grimly, before cursing, albeit softly, as some pain asserts itself.]
...
Crying-- why are you about to cry? [Sherlock makes a rather vain attempt to lift his head.] It's not that bad, is it?
{{ooc: It's all good! I had to do some research myself. The main thing Sherlock would have to worry about would be bleeding out. But with a handgun wound that won't cause internal bleeding or any damaged organs, and quick attention, he'll be fine 8D }}
okay cool XD
Mark of best friends...?
[He choking on another laugh about her dress and nods to himself, really it hadn't been the best dress. He sighed and shook his head.]
You now own that tuxedo I doubt they'll take it back...
[Since he had rented the men's suits... He wipes his eyes with his bloody hand ignoring the blood he may have gotten on his face and tries to calm down.]
No..worried...
[He is really worried and wanting all that blood to not be on the table and the floor of the Ambulance.]

Perhaps we should consider the tattoos next time.
[He looks up at the ceiling of the ambulance.]
I'll be fine. [Which is a bit different than 'I'm fine' from earlier.] Bit cold in here, isn't it?
no subject
Maybe I'll consider it...
[John getting a tattoo was always seen as an unlikely event though if Sherlock lives through this he just might. He glances over frowning at the cold comment.]
Cold...? No...
[Great, he might be or is probably going into shock.]
Can't you all drive faster?!

[Sherlock is covered with blankets for the short remainder of the ride. Once there, he's wheeled inside and immediately in for the small surgery to remove the bullet. John won't be allowed into the operating room, but a nurse finds him soon after to inform him:
Sherlock has lost approximately 30 percent of his blood - more than a liter and a half. He's being given blood transfusions; thankfully there's not a shortage, so John's won't be needed. The man has advanced just past the beginning stages of shock.]

He decides it is best to wait until he has a room before he'll ask about seeing him, he'll probably be out of it due to pain medicine anyway... he frowns. This all could have been avoided had he listened.]

John is lead to Sherlock's room after that. The consulting detective is propped up a bit in bed, a pitcher of water at his side, hands in his lap over the thin hospital blankets. Sherlock has a faint smile for his friend, a little strained and very tired - but a smile, nonetheless.]
They're not going to let me eat for another few hours. The one time I'm decently peckish, and I can't eat. [He reaches with a trembling hand to pick up the paper cup on his bedside table.]

What are the odds... [He gives a tired smile back and sighs. 'This man will be the death of me.' he thinks while he nervously runs his tongue over his lips before reaching over to get the cup for Sherlock, handing it to him.]
I suspect when you are able to eat, you won't want to. But I'll force food down your throat when the time comes.
[He eyes the spot where the wound is hidden from view before looking to Sherlock.] Is there anything I can get you?
OTL sorry this is late too DX
Slowly, he lifts the cup to his lips and sips at the water.] Anesthetic gives a very unpleasantly sluggish sensation, [He complains somewhat mildly.] I can't think.
This is late too D:
[He was itching to grab Sherlock's hand....but held back it would be strange...'Calm down John, he is right here and will be fine.' He told himself as he idly licked his lips.]
Well I suppose good thing she paid for most of the wedding.
[He tried to make a joke and shrugged.] I suppose you want me to bring you somethings from home, or will you be allowed home tomorrow?
