Maggie was actually laying in a hospital bed healing, but that didn't really need to be said. He was within flare distance from camp.

He stood up and stretched a bit, looking back towards where he knew base was for the night. "Sure you don't want to join up with us?"

Peter glanced the other one, thinking about the burned out shell of the house, of the life he'd had before and how life was now. Not only from what they hid from but how he was seen by his family.
"I won't ask how long before you move on," he said, knowing he wouldn't tell him. "Meet me here tomorrow," he asked, arching a brow.

Hal wouldn't be there tomorrow. In the morning, Weaver would make the order to move on and they would hitch up their caravan and keep heading out. But Hal would make a quick run on his scouting with the motorcycle back to the trunk bench and leaves a set of coded longitude and latitude coordinates of where they are ultimately heading in case the man decided to bring his family to safety too.
In code that he was sure that the man would be able to figure out, but not something skitters would comprehend.
