INJURIES.
1. Sprain/strain. How did you screw up walking?
2. Broken bones. Simple fractures still hurt.
3. Cuts. Hopefully one of you has a sewing kit.
4. Burns. Location, location, location. Let's pray this one isn't on your ass.
5. Concussion. No, they're most likely not holding up fifteen fingers.
6. Other. I'm not a doctor.

HOW'D IT HAPPEN.
1. Stupidity. You did this to yourself.
2. Accident. Is an unintentional attack still an attack?
3. Attack. Don't lie, you deserved it.
4. Other. It's probably still your own fault.

WHERE'D IT HAPPEN.
1. Home. Did you remember to invest in a first aid kit?
2. School/Work. This should be excellent for getting you out of doing stuff!
3. Outdoors. Predators like the smell of blood. Clean up asap.
4. In the water. Hopefully there aren't any sharks!
5. Other. Like a hospital. That'd be handy.

The Australia job that they'd thought would be a breeze, turned out not to be one bad piece of luck after another. Half the team got food poisoning one day from bad seafood. The chemist got a bad batch of somacin that turned their trial run into an actual nightmare complete with zombies (she blamed Eames who'd been up watching "28 Days Later" the night before). And then there was the actual day of the extraction. Ari kept watch as they went under with the Mark. Things seemed to be going fine as far as she could tell and with 10 seconds left on the clock she prepared for the team to wake up and to up the dose on the Mark so he would stay asleep. Which was exactly what happened. The Extractor had gotten the info and they all packed up and headed to debrief in the warehouse before they would go their separate ways. Which is when, of course, she missed a stair as they went down the stairwell of the Mark's apartment building and sprained her ankle.

Beside a few minor inconveniences, the job had been going swimmingly. Their luck hadn't been too bad, even with what had just happened. At least none of them were dead, right?

Ariadne had been leading the pack down the stairs with Eames close behind her and then the Extractor. When Eames reached her, he slid his arms under her back and knees and picked her up. They didn't have time to stop.

"Ow, fuck," she said as she reached for her rapidly swelling ankle until Eames was quickly picking her up and continuing to the car. The pain was intense to the point that she was worried she might have broken it.

When they got out through the back door and into the alley way where they cars were parked, the Extractor got into one with the PASIV and drove away without a word. They each knew their part.

Arthur opened the door to the backseat of their car and Eames quickly, but carefully helped her in. Arthur had already started the car by the time Eames closed the door and then got into the front passenger's seat. "How's the ankle?" Arthur asked as he drove out of the alley.

"Not good," she said with a strain in her voice. She felt like her shoe was the only thing keeping it from becoming the size of a softball right now.

"Do you think you need to go to the hospital?" Eames asked. "Or do you think we can treat it back at the hotel?" Obviously, both men would rather go back to the suite and treat it there but if she think she needed to go to the hospital, they weren't going to deny her that.

"Just go to the hotel," she said. If it still hurt this much in the morning she'd make them take her. It wasn't as if a busted ankle was a suspicious injury, but the lower profile they kept right now the better.

"Okay," Eames said before turning around in his seat and facing forward.

They arrived at the hotel less than twenty minutes later. Eames helped her out of the backseat. "Lean on me," he said as he wrapped an arm around her back. Arthur was ahead of them already.

She wrapped her arm around his waist and hopped on one foot, cringing at the pain the jostling caused her ankle.

Eames, seeing her cringe, slipped his arm more around her so he could lift her up a little. "Better?" He asked as they entered the nearly empty lobby. It was almost eleven at night.

"Little bit," she said, still cringing.

"Come on."

Arthur was holding the elevator door for them, and went it slid shut, he leaned back against the wall. Eames lifted her up in his arms again.

She shot Arthur a look as they got into the elevator that said "Did you really just 'Come on' me right now" but she didn't say anything as she held on to Eames, pressing her nose into his neck.

Arthur glanced at her before looking at the top of the door where the numbers changed to indicate floors. When they stopped on their floor, the doors opened and Arthur walked out, Eames closely behind him, carrying Ariadne. Arthur let them in to their suite and he went to grab the ice bucket. Eames set her down on the couch and then got down onto one knee in front of her, carefully sliding her pants leg up.

"Pain meds," she requested as she laid back against the couch.

Eames nodded and went to get Arthur's first aid kit, knowing there was prescription strength pain killers in there. He also got her a bottle of water from the mini bar, and came back.

Arthur was out getting ice for her ankle and returned a few minutes later with the plastic bag lined bucket.

She took the pills and water Eames offered her and rested back against the couch, hoping they'd take affect quickly.. Her ankle was swollen up around her shoe and she knew it was going to be painful coming off.

Arthur got down beside Eames. "I'm going to take off your shoe," Arthur said before unzipping her boot. Slowly and carefully, he maneuvered it off.

She nodded and braced for the pain, whimpering a bit as he pulled it off. The swelling immediately got worse once the boot was off.

Arthur took off her sock next and both men took stock of her injury. Eames whislted and then exchanged a look with Arthur. Arthur then reached for the plastic bag filled with ice, tied the end, and rested it on top of her ankle, molding the bag around it.

"Ow! Fuck that's cold," she said through her teeth. "Dammit."

She sunk back into the couch, annoyed at herself for getting such a stupid injury.

"Does it look broken?" she asked.

"Wiggle your toes," Arthur commanded as Eames reached to hold her hand.

She squeezed Eames' hand and did as Arthur said, her toes moving, even if just slightly.

"Well," Arthur began. "You didn't tear an entire ligament or fractured a bone.

"Has the pain subsided since you got off your foot?"
