Let's be honest, we play out some pretty crazy things on Bakerstreet, from budding romance to chilling betrayal, surprise twists and stunning plots worthy of any tv drama.

...but what if that drama was a soap opera?



Post your character, their backstory and what their role in this big soap opera is! Are they a high rolling Wall Street hedge fund manager? The charming and demure maid? Maybe your shonen hero is the new pool boy, or your superhero now finds himself a trophy husband to a hotshot lawyer wife who worships Satan! Give us a taste of what your character's soap opera life could be!

1. "But Ramon...it's your baby!" Surprise pregnancies! Keep it, get rid of it, put it up for adoption, but definitely ask for a paternity test, she's also slept with the pool boy. Which brings us to...
2. "Rebecca, how could you?!" Someone caught their lover in flagrante delecto with another! /organ wail How awkward if it turns out-
3. "She's your sister!" Whoops. Incest a go-go.
4. "Your mother gave Caesar up in her grief" And thus, your long-lost sibling/aunt/cousin's brother's nephew's former roommate has come to crash the party.
5. "Speak now or forever hold your peace" Drama on the wedding day! You're a bride left at the altar, your former (and quite possibly long-lost) lover decides your trip down the aisle is a mistake. Maybe this whole marriage is an accident!
6. "I'm sorry, Jacqueline...it's terminal" Someone's going to die. You, your dog, your tenth secret love child, oh the drama. Just remember...
7. "Lupita, you're alive!" Death is only temporary in a soap opera. Maybe you even faked it!
8. "David...don't you remember me?" The amnesia option. You hit your head in a tragic hang-gliding accident what? and now you can't even recall your own name!
9. "It's a miracle!" Is your character in a coma? Not anymore! Bonus points if you pair it with #5
10. "I love you!" Three little anguished, desperate words, uttered at the worst moment possible.
11. "I have a terrible secret..." The catch-all! Anything else you want to add, go for it, just make it as cheesy and overwrought as you can.

When he finally returned, it was with a total alteration of his personality - he was suffering a strange case of amnesia where he remembered his name, vague details of his life, but not much else. He went from a serious, intelligent man, to something of a trashy rake. He's also the illegitimate son of a king.

Now he's just a party boy, splurging his money and getting into all sorts of trouble. Until someone smacks him upside the head to bring his memory back.

[Cordelia Chase is the beautiful, intelligent daughter of a small-town millionaire, and her father was thrown into jail just before she graduated high school. Unfortunately, she couldn't quite make it in the tough trade and was nearly murdered by a smooth talking serial killer who liked to prey on beautiful young women.

Luckily, Angel found her.

Angel was a darkly handsome European man with a bad accent and a lot of secrets. His baggage involved his own murder sprees, gypsies, and a doomed love. He and Cordelia teamed up to solve crime together and together, they saved women from cults, brought down crime rings, watched loved ones die, and suffered amnesia more than once. Despite her love for Angel, Cordelia had a baby with his son and their child, Jasmine, instantly turned into an ebony goddess of an adult that everyone in the world began to worship, even as Cordelia herself fell into a coma, unaware that her child was actually totally evil.

Since waking up, Cordelia has become a fashion icon, famous for nothing other than her good looks and being the girlfriend of a world-famous business tycoon, Pierre Haverhill, who she's set to marry any day now. Of course, Pierre is totally corrupt and having an affair with his secretary, the head of the LAPD, and his Zumba instructor. But that's okay, because any day now, Cordelia's probably going to finally realize her love for any of the other men in her life. Gardener? Riding instructor? That guy who is penning her supposed biography? PIERRE'S TWIN, maybe???]

Cuthbert Allgood was reasonably certain that now was that time. He'd agonized for weeks. Ever since reading about the upcoming wedding. He ought to just leave it. He hadn't even seen her since she'd come out of her coma. It had been too long, too much had come between them...

But his heart wouldn't listen to his brain. This wasn't some cheap fling, easily forgotten. This was Cordelia. And she was marrying some other man tomorrow. No. No, he couldn't just sit by and let it happen. He might have nothing left of his family's fortunes, he may have lost his best friend, he may be forced to live in the stables of the man who'd stolen that fortune, but damned if he was going to lose Cordelia.

It was raining when he drove to her place, not even knowing what he was going to say. He still wasn't sure, when he rang the bell, damp and mussed from his sudden rush.

There is a lot of rumors about the attractive man who isn't very social - you've probably heard them all from him in the witness protection program down to someone swearing he was a werewolf. Of course what is real and what isn't is hard to figure out when he isn't talkative the times he does ride him motorcycle into town to get supplies.

Which is why it's rare that he has been coming into town more and more, spending an odd amount of time at the high school of all places. Those who know him - there are a few he will actually communicate with - knows that he's volunteering and helping the basketball team. But it's a small town, and things aren't really all they seem, right?]

When Ms. Jennifer's husband's brother's gardener turned out to be the father of the second set of twins, Stiles had a front row seat (look, he couldn't make this up if he tried). When the bomb threat at town hall was just a distraction so Mr. Hernandez could see his daughter in the cancer ward at the children's hospital one last time, Stiles got to watch all the strings unfold.

This is part of the reason why Derek Hale is so goddamned infuriating to the teenager. He's a total enigma, which just has to mean he's got some kind of dirty little secret, and it's driving Stiles crazy.

He may or may not be stalking the guy. Hey, at least he goes to the school, so it isn't like he's trespassing. Well, it isn't until he ends up in the preserve, on land that doesn't actually belong to the public.]

[War vet, pilot, served three total tours and just couldn't deal with another, but managed to get out on a 0% disability thanks to a good medic and a better therapist and maybe also a new boyfriend

He's also never seen without his corgi, enough so that people have begun to speculate that the dog is a service/companion animal to help with his PTSD and not just a pet.

Despite all of this, Poe is (or at least seems) generally content and is still the same open, giving person that his friends remember, if sometimes a little more distant than he was before.]

[Finn was a solider too, but he didn't talk much about his unit or where he'd been stationed. In fact when anyone asks him anything about it he clams up and gets nervous. Before he met Poe, Finn was a shy, closed off man who didn't always seem to get the hang of modern life all that well. After he loosened up a little, but he still had nights where he wouldn't sleep or had nightmares so bad he woke up screaming.

Poe was making him better and Poe's dog seemed to like Finn too, so that means it's about time for something to go wrong.]

[The only son of a fire-and-brimstone preacher, Henry is now the lead singer of an up-and-coming rock band. He hasn't openly admitted to being gay, but he's been seen with at least as many male groupies as female ones, and the band as a whole has a habit of being overly, openly affectionate with each other.

Though are there darker forces at work behind the band's sudden, near meteoric rise? Who really knows??]

For reasons unknown to the general public (though everyone suspects a girl was involved), Tyler's mellowed a bit. Currently, he studies political science & international relations at the local university, and he may or may not be on his way into a cushy political career.

The better question is, is it the career Tyler actually wants? At the same time, there's a prolific comic book artist who's been making headlines in the graphic novel industry - and if word gets out that he and Tyler "future president" Lockwood are related, things could get ugly.]

Rey knows the best time for picking is in the late morning. By afternoon, she's trucking from consignment shop to internet cafe, trying to sell her takings. And in the evenings, if it's been a decent day, she gets dinner anywhere she can watch a crowd. Watching faces. Searching for someone even she isn't sure she'd recognize. ))

She's the spitting image of someone he used to know, and he stops cold, unable to tear his eyes away. It's not her, can't be her--she'd be his age, not the girl--but the memory of what had driven him away resurfaces with a vengeance. He'd never known what had ended things between them. She'd never offered an explanation. Just, one day, she'd left.

And Luke hadn't been able to stay here, with her gone.
