It started out quietly, and then, quite suddenly, you're caught in a storm. Time to find cover. Nothing much to do but to wait it out.

Scenarios listed below for those who want 'em.

i WHERE:
001 PLAYGROUND - Well, you can try to hide under the slide or maybe in the jungle gym... at least you're some place fun?
002 PARK - Always happens, caught outside trying to take advantage of the weather... and it ends up pulling a fast one on you.
003 STORE FRONT - Better hope they have an awning you can take advantage of
004 THE BEACH - Not exactly the best place to be during a rainstorm, however it is possible to get caught in a sudden storm
005 WILD CARD - Anyway you want it


ii HOW:
001 TREE - Not the best cover, but it'll have to do, stay close to the roots and you won't get too wet.
002 UMBRELLA - Most conventional... Kinda boring. But it works.
003 NEWSPAPER - Not permanent, but it'll have to do. Good luck
004 BAG - Well... y'gotta do what you gotta do.
005 NONE - You know what. You're a rebel. You don't need cover. Screw convention
006 WILD CARD - that's the way you need it


iii WHY:
001 REJECTED - Welp. Rejection sucks. And no one will see you crying in the rain.
002 WAITING - For the bus? For someone else? For some revelation? What are you waiting for.
003 MELANCHOLY - Sometimes the best place to feel a bit down is out in the rain.
004 HAPPINESS - Is everything going your way? Are you singing a refrain while walking down the lane? Just singin. Singin' in the rain.
005 ANGER - WELL YOU KNOW WHAT. SCREW YOU TOO RAIN.
006 WILD CARD - Anyway you want it.

[She just coming out of the shop, finished with harassing Dante for the month- unless he gets a solid job that would afford a decent payment on his debt. No umbrella just her bike out there waiting for her as the rain comes down in endless sheets with the rumble of thunder in the not so far off distance and some truly impressive flashes of lightning coloring the gray sky shades of pink and purple for a few seconds at a time.]

It wasn't supposed to rain today.

*He's sitting on the roof, hanging around in demon form with the expectation that most people will dive inside to avoid the rain. Still, his voice carries well enough.*

Weather can be fickle like that.

[patricided]

[She sighs.]

There's fickle and then there's sudden and unpredictable. There's been no chance of rain for over a week now.

It's been too dry anyway, don't you think?

[patricided]

I don't mind, it lets me get my work done. Rain tends to put most plans on hold.

Anything comes up in weather like this, I can handle it. I like being out in storms.

[patricided]

[She tilts her head back as if she could look at him through the roof of the small overhang.]

Go for it, someone has to enjoy the wet. [She steps out from under the overhang then. The rain quickly soaking into her jacket.] Next time, just give me some warning so I have my body suit with me instead.

*He shrugs and jumps down to the street with a light splash.*

Least it's not leather.

Just cotton.

[She crosses her arms over her chest.]

*And now he notices that the shirt...isn't as opaque as it was a bit ago. Oh. Right.*

Oh...yeah. White cotton doesn't really work well in rain, does it?

No it doesn't. Tends to just make people stare.

You...ah...want me to get you a bit closer to your place? If you tell me the area, I can teleport you there. Unless I've never seen it, but that's unlikely by now...

[There's a moment where Lady just stares at Alastor- considering the offer before nodding slowly.]

I'm guessing you've seen the warehouses they've converted into lofts?

Yeah, I know the area. You wanna bring your bike now or come back for it later?

[patricided]

Later is fine. I'm not going to be going anywhere while it's raining.

*He holds up one hand and gestures into open air...except his hand disappears.*

Ladies first.

[patricided]

[She rolls her eyes as she steps up to him. Oh, heaven help her if their friendship was going to boil down to unfunny puns. Heaving a sigh Lady steps a little closer studying the space where his hand disappeared.]

I haven't traveled that way before.

*Unfunny puns are all part of being friends with a demon, you should know this by now.*

It can be a bit disorienting at first, but it's really kind of like walking through a door.

[patricided]

In that case, I should just keep walking right through, right?

Yup. It's the same distance from the ground on the other side, so just try not to get dizzy when your surroundings change.

*He waves his hand through the spot again and the air ripples out as if it were water.*

[patricided]

Want to hold me hand so you can catch me if I do?

[She really should just walk through before her clothes glue themselves anymore to her skin and show too much of anything underneath and not making borderline teasing flirtations with him.]

How forward.

*He offers a hand palm up, bending over slightly at the waist.*

It almost sounds like you're asking me to walk you home.

[patricided]

[She just makes a tiny little huff that sounds more than just a touch amused as she rolls her eyes. Taking his hand might not be the wisest choice, she be an arm down in keeping herself fully covered, after all. And yet it would be interesting wouldn't it? And she did the open the door.

After another moment of deliberation, Lady places her hand in his, palm to palm. Her other arm shifting slightly to keep herself mostly covered.]

It is your fault I'm soaked.

*His hand closes around hers just firmly enough that he actually will be able to catch her if she does lose her balance.*

Not like I'm any drier, is it?

*Granted, he's not wearing white cotton. But his spandex has turned very clingy...such as one could tell with how tight it is.*
