The Cheer Up Meme!

Your character is having a bad day (or week, or month, or year, or life). They're in a funk and it's obvious to anyone that comes across them. What's there to do? Why, cheer them up, of course! 

Does your character welcome it? Do they know this strange benefactor trying to make them feel better? Will their efforts work? No matter:

It's time to turn that frown upside down. 

How this works:
→ Leave a comment with the usual information in the subject line: character name, fandom. Any preferences, including what you don't want, should be included as well. For added effect, use their woobie/sadclown/depressed/h+c icons.
→ Congratulations, your character is being cheered up by whoever tags them!
→ Tag around. Please please tag around.
→ Feel free to roll RNG (1-9) if you cannot come up with "methods" of your own. 
→ Have fun, and be excellent to each other!

[It had been a very, very trying day. Not only had the bros crew lost three critically endangered hares in the complete opposite habitat needed for them, not did they have to wander through a blizzard to find them again, and not ONLY did it practically take all day with increasing worries the hares were freezing to death, but a persistent lynx had dogged them most of the way, trying to eat first one (then-miniaturized) brother and then the other, coming very close both times.

Did I mention that it was Christmas?

So, perhaps understandably, the Kratts had decided that a stronger tonic was needed to wind down from THAT day, "tonic" being literal in this case. Hey, a little drink around the holidays was traditional, right?

As night cast its spell over the snowy neighborhood, the two of them had come to a small restaurant, a little family place they had patronized in the past and knew well. It didn't get many clients but the base it had was devoted enough, thanks to the excellent food and drinks. And speaking of, when theirs arrived Chris raised his, laughing gently.]

[ Sometimes Irvine manages to find the weirdest things when he steps foot outside of any of the Gardens he happened to be in. Today, it was Balamb - he had a self given obligation to visit whenever he could, after all. Going outside is probably a terrible idea, all things considered, but hey, he had to get out some time.

And some how, today he manages to find a little puppy, black in colour and wagging its tail around, seemingly excited about the new place it has found itself in. Since he's never looked after a puppy - other animals, yes. Puppies, no - before, the sniper kind of stares at it for a moment. And stares. And stares a little bit more.

It's only after the pup looks like it's about to run away that Irvine notices that there's another one approaching, looking identical to the first. Two puppies in one place. Had they escaped from a breeder or something? The next best idea that he has is to take them to the highest authority he wasn't going to piss off any time soon. Funnily enough, he thinks Squall is that person. Picking up the two puppies is more trouble than it's worth, but he does it eventually.

Then he's off, heading into the other's office and depositing the two puppies on his desk, right in front of the Commander. ]

Found these two wanderin' around outside, bossman. I had no idea what to do with 'em, so..

[ Magic gone wrong was the cause of ninety percent of Hermione's problems and her current situation - being a few centuries behind in time - was no exception. She couldn't really complain, however, considering where she was; in the court of one King Arthur, being able to hang around the famous Merlin himself... It definitely wasn't anything to complain about. She might be stuck, but she has plenty of time to work out a way to get home.

For now, she's more focussed on how less-than-pleased her new friend looks, something she blames entirely on Arthur for now. So she takes it upon herself to cheer him up - because why not? It's not as though many people go out of their way to make a servant happy, which rubs Hermione entirely the wrong way (and harks back to her time attempting to generate House Elf rights).

So, she sneaks up behind him, conjuring a small colony of rabbits to appear out of a small bush to one side, quite happy to hop up to Merlin's side and dance around his legs. Hopefully, he wouldn't pick up on her magic. Walking over, she smiles softly. ]

I think you have a knack for animals, Merlin.
