Cheer up!: the meme.
The Cheer Up Meme!

Your character is having a bad day (or week, or month, or year, or life). They're in a funk and it's obvious to anyone that comes across them. What's there to do? Why, cheer them up, of course!
Does your character welcome it? Do they know this strange benefactor trying to make them feel better? Will their efforts work? No matter:

It's time to turn that frown upside down.
How this works:
→ Leave a comment with the usual information in the subject line: character name, fandom. Any preferences, including what you don't want, should be included as well. For added effect, use their woobie/sadclown/depressed/h+c icons.
→ Congratulations, your character is being cheered up by whoever tags them!
→ Tag around. Please please tag around.
→ Feel free to roll RNG (1-9) if you cannot come up with "methods" of your own.
→ Have fun, and be excellent to each other!

- 1 — A hug! (You looked like you could use one.)
- 2 — Compliments! (A boost in your self-esteem is a boost for...justice?)
- 3 — Food! (I'll go get the cheesecake.)
- 4 — Joke! (Haven't you heard of the healing power of laughter?)
- 5 — Adventure! (Get your shoes and jacket, we're getting out of here.)
- 6 — Puppies/kitties/foxes/bunnies/etc.! (Because who can turn down an animal?)
- 7 — Drinks! (Nothing like a beer to wash down that sorrow.)
- 8 — Games! (Shut up and jump rope.)
- 9 — Fuck da police. (In other words, the random/whatever option.)

[He snickered a little; yep, definitely already feeling better.
The drink was getting distressingly low, though.]
I wonder if there's anything else we have that might work, at least until Aviva finishes snowshoe hare.
no subject
[He reached for his drink, which was also fairly empty by now. Almost time to order a re-fill, right?]
Besides, I wanna try that snow-diving technique.
[He froze a moment later after saying that as it belatedly pinged his memory. He hurriedly started downing the remainder of his glass.]
no subject
Yeah-heh, but leave it to Aviva to make the suit extra fluffy, or something. You know how she was all over those hispids.
[He knocked back the rest of his drink, then ran his tongue and lips around the outside to catch up the remaining chocolate crumbs. Licking a few out of the corners of his mouth he tilted the menu back up with his fingers and looked over it again.]
'Kay, let's see here...
no subject
That got a laugh out of him.]
Koki too. They loved those hares.
[He couldn't blame them either. Those hispids were adorable.]
I could live with being fluffy though.
[Within reason anyway.
He popped the remainder of the cookie in his mouth. Then, seeing Chris take another look at the menu, he leaned over curiously, half-attempting to read it to. Upside down. Mouth still full.]
Wh'tch' g'tting?
no subject
[He snickered a little, then went back to considering the menu, pointing out one of the options under the "Sweet" heading.]
This one, I think. [Then he glanced up with a smirk.] You said I should eat more chocolate, so that's what I'm gonna do.
no subject
Good choice! I'm gonna geeettttt...
[He hovered a finger over the menu in Chris's hands, before poking it down onto an item.]
That one.
[He'd set his finger down on a fairly tall, cream-filled, candy cane flavored drink.]
The Cane Shake.
[He giggled a little.]
Sounds like canebreak. ...Rattlesnake.
[Oh there was the buzz he was looking for...]
no subject
You would choose that one. Me, I'm good with the Snow Angel.
[He glanced at a subheading under the drink, and smirked lightly.]
I'll get 'em to send the strawberry option with 'em, too.
no subject
You enjoy your strawberries, mine comes with a candy cane.
[Candy cane > Strawberries]
no subject
Yeahh, but the strawberries on mine are chocolate-covered, dude. You can't beat that, that's like.
[He sits back, waving his hand at the air.]
The best, most well-known flavor combination there is.
no subject
[He held his hand up very matter-of-factly.]
First best, most well-known flavor combination is chocolate and peanut butter.
[That's just a fact, Bro.]
no subject
Good point.
[Then he snaps and points at him.]
What about chocolate-covered cherries?
no subject
Hmmmm...less best, most well-known than peanut butter, but more best, most well-known than strawberries?
[Beat.]
...Might be tied with strawberries.
no subject
Very different. [Then he makes a little gesture with his fingers.] Though I guess someone getting the cherries could lead to the strawberries...
[Shrug.]
'Kay, what else.
no subject
Uhhhh, let's see...peanut butter, cherries, strawberries, vanilla ice cream...uhhhh, caramel...marshmallows, graham crackers...
[Good thing there were a lot of things that combined well with chocolate. He had plenty of time to list a bunch of them before their second round of drinks came.]
...Bananas...oh! Nutella. Or is that technically hazelnut...?
no subject
I dunno, I've never really been able to tell. It's like both... equally?
[Picking up the glass, he examined it for a moment and then took an experimental sip.
Which he then stiffened after, then winced back with a laugh.]
Fwoo, that's got a little kick to it.
[Another sip, just to be sure.]
no subject
[He grinned affably at the waiter, and then laughed as his brother tried his drink.]
Shoulda gotten what I got, Bro. Mine's all sweet and creamy.
[He picked out his candy cane, waving it a little at Chris, before chewing on the end of it.]
Aaaaand the candy cane, of course.
no subject
That candycane attracts his attention, though. He watches it for a few moments and then, acting on impulse, sits up and gets right up to Martin, snaring the hook of the cane with his teeth. A heartbeat of a moment to smirk with raised eyebrows and then he sits back down, candy in hand.
...Er, in mouth.]
