[Fluttershy hummed thoughtfully as she stared at the object on the table, looking it over carefully.

She'd been working on this little project for a few weeks now, and she was in a bit of a hurry to finish it up since getting word that Chris was back in town and on his way over. But looking at it now, she was beginning to wonder if giving it to him was such a good idea.

With a bit of a sigh, she picked up her knitting needles, wanting to fix it up a bit.]

[Chris, for his part, had had a small surprise of his own, tucked away in his pack. The Createrra parked in at her house and he slid out, dragging the bag with him by the straps and automatically swinging it on.

A few moments later her doorbell rang and he stepped back a bit to wait. He glanced down, then picked a couple lingering pieces of grass off his shirt, flittering his fingers to drop them.]

[She jumped a little, glancing up at the ceiling where the front door would be. Then looking at the finished object in her hand, she made a slight face, still not sure whether to give it to him or not.

Fearing she might have gone a little overboard with it, she leaves it on the table, getting up and heading out of her secret room, locking the door behind her. Then she heads up the stairs and into the living room, smiling as she opens the front door.]

Hey, Chris...!

[beingthecreature]

[He was caught in the middle of brushing off his shoulder when the door opened and he glanced up, then raised his head with an instantaneous broad grin.]

Fluttershy! How're you?

[strengthinkindness]

I'm good! [She opens the door wider, stepping aside a little to let him in.]

How are you? Did you have a good trip?

[beingthecreature]

[He steps in as she moves, and he gives her a smile.]

I'm alright. And yeah, can't really complain, trip was same as ever.

[strengthinkindness]

[Closing the door behind him, she smiles and gestures for him to take a seat on the couch.]

Would you like anything? I imagine it was probably a long trip...where were you Creature Adventuring this time?

[beingthecreature]

[He let the pack drop off his shoulders and after setting it by the couch, he took the offered seat.]

Y'know, not too far away, actually. We were clearing up the last few Asian longhorn beetles in a forest a few miles away.

[strengthinkindness]

Oh really? How'd that go?

[beingthecreature]

Well... Except for a momentary glitch with woodpecker suit, it went alright.

[strengthinkindness]

Woodpecker suit? What happened?

[beingthecreature]

Uh-hah, well... [How best to put this?]

You know how actual woodpeckers have the spongy cushioning in their skull to prevent headaches and other damage? [He shrugs, rubbing the back of his head.] Well initially the suit... didn't. That was accidentally left out.

[strengthinkindness]

Oh...oh gosh. Are you okay?

[beingthecreature]

Oh yeah, yeah! [He waved his hands, nodding.] I'm fine now. Just came out of that day a little extra rattled, that's all.

[strengthinkindness]

Mmm...well, okay... [She makes a note to keep an eye on him anyway.] So what happened with the beetles?

[beingthecreature]

We collected them up, at least the ones that woodpeckers in the forest hadn't started eating, and carried the captures back home to China. It took a few days, but I think we got 'em all.

[strengthinkindness]

Well, that's good...it does sound pretty tiring, though.

[beingthecreature]

A little, but it wasn't too bad with Martin and a couple of the Wild Kratts kids helping.

[strengthinkindness]

[She smiled, sitting beside him on the couch.] And the woodpecker suit? Fixed, I hope...

[beingthecreature]

Oh yeah, no problems with it whatsoever, now.

[strengthinkindness]

That's good. That's another suit you're going to have to show me sometime...

[beingthecreature]

Definitely! Still have to show you gazelle sometime too, and some of the other African creatures.

[strengthinkindness]

[She nods, trying - and barely able - to contain her excitement at the thought.]

I can't wait...

[beingthecreature]

Neither can I. [A little adjustment of his foot nudged his pack and brought his attention to it, and he smiled after a moment. His hands came together for a moment then came apart, fingers spread, with a little shrug.]

Speaking of 'can't wait', I... brought a little something for you.
