There were a few downsides to having enhanced senses. Being able to smell the animal shelter from a block off made the list for sure.

But TJ had been mentioning getting dogs for their new place for a while now, and he'd gotten notice from a friend in the system about a pair of puppies that had been rescued out of an old abandoned drain. Somehow, it felt better rescuing a pair of dogs than it would have going to a local breeder. Maybe because like them, the puppies deserved a second chance too.

So a motorcycle ride and some quick introductions later, Steve was leading TJ back to one of the interaction rooms while an aide went to go get the puppies. A grin was given to the former first son, eyebrows lifting. "Now you're sure you're alright with this?"

With a sigh, Germany glances down at the small box under his arm. A gift from Spain that he had tried his best to refuse, but somehow ended up having everyone attending the meeting take it with him after all.

He still isn't entirely how the entire meeting could escalate into this.
