( sometimes he isn't sure how he ends up in certain situations. sometimes he blames absolutely everything on gojo and, more often than not, the blame isn't unfounded.

case in point: their oh-so-thoughtful teacher had sent them on an assignment in which he'd sworn proper accommodations had been made, that not only would they have separate beds but separate rooms, and while megumi would normally trust him on something like this ( because sharing a room with the opposite gender is just inappropriate, let alone sharing a bed ), it should come as no real surprise to him at all that nothing is going as it should.

he's at the very edge of his side of the bed, trying to give his classmate more room ( because he's considerate, all right, and maybe because she would probably just kick him onto the floor if she thought she didn't have enough to begin with ), but that in turn means that he has little more than a corner of the blanket, and it's cold.

[The motel had two beds. There were three of them and before anyone could start bickering over who got what (not that that stopped Ashley from declaring her claim anyway), Lessa offered to take the couch after Andrew was done watching tv. Whether he'd crawl in with Ashley anyway was a tossup, but Lessa wouldn't take the free bed even if he did. He seemed to be sleeping soundly for the moment, at least. He sorely needed it.

For her part, she needed space to think and though it was shit comfort, the back of the couch acted like a divide between her and everything that came before. Not a very effective one, mind, because she was turning it all over in her head anyway, but it gave her a bit of direction, and it was dawning on her that they really hadn't had time to think about anything. It'd been point A to point Z at lightspeeds, no time to really process.

Everything kept happening and none of it made any sense.

Less rubbed her hands over her eyes and shifted her body to try and grow more comfortable. But sleep would not come. The more time went on, the more this having space to think prospect was a monkey's paw situation and she groaned.]
