Hide-and-Seek had always been one of Lucy's favorite games. And in Narnia, the kingdom gave that little game full opportunity to flower. It simply wasn't fair that there were so many places in which the youngest monarch could disappear, and it had, early on, driven her siblings into mild panic, not finding her in a decent amount of time.

But now, years later, Peter had learned that, eventually, Lucy would emerge on her own, crowing about winning, and her eldest brother was always happy to concede the game if it meant he didn't have to pull the kingdom apart to find her. Smarter, not harder.

Caspian, it seemed, had yet to learn this lesson, which was why Peter was currently reclined on one of the Cair's second floor balconies, idly watching his brother king scurry from place to place, diligently trying to suss out the little Queen.

Absently chewing on a toothpick, Peter just chuckled, then sat up enough to call out, "You're wasting your time, Caspian! She'll give up when she gets hungry enough!"
