[It had taken Bart years to forgive his parents for the way they reacted when his powers developed, but at the prompting by his friends the young speedster decided it was time to return home and see them once again. Yet when he returned home he found a nightmare waiting for him when he discovered his parent's bodies laying on the living room floor.

The kid would have remained there, stuck inside his own mind as the sadness threatened to swallow him whole, but the movement out of the corner of his eye brought Bart's full attention back to reality. Someone had killed his parents...and they were still inside the house!]
