( jinx is a new teen mutant attending the school. a girl with super speed, strength, and able to fabricate explosives and guns by merely touching scrap metal. unfortunately, she is also a very trouble-making student.

she was a delinquent before she was found by the x-men, did a lot of thieving, vandalism, and caused a few explosions here and there on purpose. but she agreed to be here because well, she is homeless as well. and sleeping in alleyways with the sewer rats isn't necessarily comfortable.

despite attending, the twin braided girl has no interest in becoming a hero, nor wanting to make a difference in the world. the humans can blow up or get crushed by burning buildings as far as she's considered. they're all horrible, liars, and backstabbers. they only care about saving their skins, and even that's a bit wishy-washy. because humans will turn on their own flesh and blood if cornered -- animal instincts and all that. although, the x-men insist there's some good in her somewhere in her troubling soul, and she is ready to challenge that belief. )

( it's friday night, and she is completely bored out of her mind in her room. and playing catch with herself with a loaded bomb can only be entertaining for so long. but as she lies there on her bed, an idea hatches in that mischievous mind of hers. the teenager rolls out of bed and creeps out of her bedroom, then dashes swiftly through the hallways to the nearest phone she can find. what if she prank calls one of the teachers? that could be a fun way to pass a few minutes of her time. humming playfully to herself, she unhooks the phone from the receiver and dials the school's number -- then scurries underneath the table to hide. )

[ One thing about Wayne Manor: it's big.

The grounds are big. The house is big. Everything in it is big, including the cabinets. Which can make for some entertaining methods of putting things away, when every one the people who spend the most time in the house could be an Olympic-level gymnast... but sometimes it's easier to just be able to reach.

Which is why, when Dick wanders through the kitchen and sees Cass considering the best way of vaulting up to the cabinet with the cocoa mix, he simple comes up behind her, sets his hands on her waist, and lifts her up without warning. ]
