THE TRAIN TO THE AFTERLIFE

Congratulations! your character is dead — for whatever reason, whether it be canon, au, what have you. it'll be a bit of a journey to the afterlife, though, so your character might as well talk to the other people. death knows no place: most of them are strangers, even from faraway worlds. but death knows no time either, so who knows, some of them may be familiar people, whether recently deceased or long so. maybe your character know how they died, maybe they don't. perhaps the memory is fuzzy, or perhaps it's crystal clear. maybe it was simply their time or maybe they weren't at all ready to go, but none of it matters. your character knows they're dead and the train is taking them to an afterlife.

"Do you mind if I join you?" The question was quiet, just a step above 'timid', and the young woman who'd asked it, hovering in the compartment door, looked about the same, arms held close across her chest, "It's just this is the first one that isn't already full, I didn't, didn't really expect it to be so crowded?" That wasn't meant as a question, not really, but it came out as one all the same. Mostly she hadn't been expecting a train at all, let alone one that seemed to be experiencing some kind of rush hour capacity.

"If you're waiting for someone, I can, I'll keep looking." She spoke with the tone of someone who was used to not taking up space, doing her best to go unnoticed and keep out of the way. Mostly she looked tired, and rattled, and while she knew what was going on -thanks to the overhead announcements- she clearly hadn't yet had a chance to actually process it.

The familiar Hylian Princess stands out to Mineru immediately, as if her powers of Light and Time shine even now, in the afterlife. This young woman, her many-times-great grand-niece, had survived so much, only to fall so soon?

Mineru walks to her slowly, her whole being heavy as lead, and places a hand on top of the backrest of Zelda's seat. ]

This is not how I hoped we would meet again. At the very least, I would've liked to see you with wrinkles on your face and gray in your hair.
