Change is natural, and no status quo can hold indefinitely. The center cannot hold, as the Old Earth poets say.

The issue is, of course, that not all change is good, but fighting it in either case is fighting against the inevitable. There is a kind of tragic heroism in futility.

I think we're roughly in agreement here, to the shock of no one who knows us. You can choose to fight against change and lose; I suppose that's a kind of nobility if you really believe in it.

And it's certainly true that people will be hurt in the process of tearing everything down, but if people are already being hurt, who are you really saving by shoring up something that's already half broken? Maybe mere anarchy should be loosed upon the world.

I simply do not care for coffee. While it can be moderately pleasant when prepared exceptionally well, at least poorly brewed tea still resembles water and not mud after it has been prepared.

Ah... I do not mean to cause offense, and I certainly do not think a drink should not be altered with cream or sugar. But by the time I have made coffee palatable to my tastes, it is less coffee and more a vaguely coffee-flavored milkshake.

Now, that is an unexpected question. But now that I am thinking about it, potatoes are rather versatile. You can simply bake them or roast them, or you can slice them and fry them, or really, do just about anything with them. Perhaps they go underappreciated.
