Marriage for love is a such a modern concept. In the past, marriage was
recognised as a social contract. Unions were entered into for many
reasons: to obtain property, to unite families, to carry on a bloodline,
et cetera. Whatever the reason, congratulations, you're getting married!

POSSIBLE REASONS:
STATION: You come from a royal, noble, or otherwise distinguished family who has chosen a suitable spouse for you.
FEUD: You are being married to put an end to the bitter enmity between your two families.
ECONOMICS: Your economic state and/or your station will improve through the union, though one of you may be marrying down.
EMPIRE: You and your spouse are merging your businesses and/or property to create something more influential or profitable.
TRIBUTE: You have been offered as a gift or appeasement, alternately you're the spoils of war.
BLOODLINE: Carrying on your distinguished family name has fallen to you and the equally well-bred spouse of your family's selection.
DISAPPROVAL: Your marriage has been arranged to keep you away from the person with whom you truly wish to be.



POSSIBLE SCENARIOS
FIRST MEETING: This is the very first time you're meeting your future spouse.
COURTSHIP: To get to know each other and encourage affection, your family has approved of you going on dates.
ENGAGEMENT PARTY: Be it a huge, formal affair or a small, intimate get together, you're celebrating (or pretending).
WEDDING DAY: The big day!

Character Brief: Falin is a Tallman (humanlike) cleric who was eaten by a dragon. Due to various canon circumstances she is now fused with said dragon. She also has the ability to see and exorcise ghosts. Very talented with magic.

Willing to play her as Full Size {11m head to tail}, gently shrunk {roughly centaur-ish} or post-canon where she's mostly human shaped but still has pieces of the dragon/chimera in her {feathers, fangs, slit eyes, etc})

[ In a twist surprising nearly all of the main players in Pentagram City, Husk won the final game. They had no one to blame but themselves: it was their mistake asking to play it at a poker table. This win guarantees him not only turf but fealty from a number of them, each more desperate to keep their fortunes than the last. The last few days had been chock full of scheduled meetings, lawyers flipping through paperwork as each defeated overlord signed away something to him, something valuable enough to keep Husk from knocking on their door and asking them (none too nicely) to move out.

He'd received new staff, golden soul contracts in a stack on his desk. He'd received briefcases of cash, even briefcases of the best drugs the Pride ring has to offer. One player even gifted him aged barrels of alcohol stolen from Earth. He'd made a note in the ledger to send them a thank you card for what was probably the best thing he'd won so far.

The last meeting of the day finally rolled around, and Husk found himself at a dinner table in one of his private rooms, wine and whiskey poured all around. Valentino, his final patron, sits across from him, looking none too happy with the circumstances he's found himself in. A person stands behind him, near the door, but Husk's not paying his entourage any mind until Valentino chooses to reveal the gift he's chosen to give his new overlord.

I took it upon myself to offer a most distinguished man such as yourself a bride.

Husk's eyes widen as the man walks forward, draped in a long, expensive pink gown.

Husk, this is Angel Dust. I would have put him in white for the occasion, but I heard somewhere that white is reserved for virgins on their wedding day.
