[ Sneaky little kunoichi feet -- only she's not using any such class in slipping out of her window to dodge an oppressive family. Rules suck, she needs freedom, she needs AIR. She needs to just -breathe- away from those people for a while. She's done this before, but she still had to be careful - gramps was scarily perceptive and in a way, even more overprotective than her father. At least with him it came from love. Sorry old man, she'll be back - she's just going to go out on the town and have some stress relieving FUN for a few hours.

Thus dressed in her loose top and pants, she slipped away from the Fujinomiya household and practically held her breath until it was no longer in sight. And even then she kept checking over her shoulder to see if she was being followed. It took several blocks before she dropped her guard enough to start looking around in the city nightlife. What or what (or who) will catch her attention first, one wonders? ]

[Guess who is there to pick him up? It's definitely Koa waiting for him on his motorcycle with a helmet at the ready. He's taking him out for some fun since Vincent has been working so hard. Not that Koa is the best at fun things but he figures the boy deserves some rewards.]

(( Good Boy^TM Vincent isn't the sort to break curfew. And, well, the kid at the door to check IDs is just there as part of her work-study to discount her tuition, so she doesn't really pay a lot of attention when Vincent offers some very transparent excuse for why he has to go out. It's so hard for him to tell a convincing lie! Thankfully, she just waves him off with a disinterested hum.

Once outside, Vincent shrinks deeper in the over-sized leather coat — yes, the one Koa gave him the day they met — and quickens his pace until he's practically jogging to the parking lot nearby where he hears the motocycle rumbling. He really does love riding on it with Koa. That alone is enough fun for Vincent. A smile breaks out across his face as he gets closer and he stops just long enough to take the spare helmet from Koa's hands. It only takes a moment for Vincent to tuck his curls beneath and climb happily on the bike behind his friend. ))

Where are we going?

First we're gonna get some street tacos.

[Where they go from there is up in the air. He'll figure it out later. For the time being he is just ready to zoom them out to go to the stand that he is particularly into. Out of the way but with the best damn food he's had in awhile. Outside of Avery's. His will always be the best.

Once he's sure Vincent is secure against his back, he kicks the bike into gear and speeds them out onto the road, wind whipping around them and the city lights flying by.]

Yum!

(( If there were only one thing he's learned about Koa (there's more than one thing), it's that he hasn't steered Vincent wrong about food. Though, he would agree that Avery's is probably his favorite. Shhh, don't tell Vincent's mom! It would break her heart.

Of course, he presses flush against Koa's back, arms tight around the man's waist. Safety, Vincent tells himself. How could it possibly have anything to do with the way his pulse quickens when they're so close? It's definitely not that Vincent enjoys feeling Koa's strength. Nope, not that.

A silent smile curls his lips as they take off, his cheek pressed oh-so-happily against Koa's back. It's really a good thing Koa's such a decent person. Vincent trusted him from the moment they met, partly because Koa helped him, but also because he simply doesn't know not to trust others. At least he found a good person. ))

[He can hear that heart beating faster but he doesn't draw attention to it. He just focuses on the drive until the scent of delicious food surrounds them. Parking the bike, he helps Vincent off then helps him out of the helmet.

Nodding to the stand, he guides them over.]

Get anything you want. I'm buying.

(( It's very nice of Koa not to point it out since Vincent would feel self-conscious about it. Maybe he could rationalize it as the thrill of being on the bike and something completely detached from its driver (which would be a lie and Vincent doesn't lie well, so he tries not to lie at all!). The excitement of being on the bike is just part of the reason.

Once he slides off the back, Vincent removes the helmet, shaking his hair out until the unruly waves spring back from their temporary flattening. His sense of smell is nowhere near as good at Koa's but his mouth's been watering since he first caught a whiff of the food. ))

What do you recommend? Would you believe I've never had street tacos before?

Yeah. I'd believe it. Get the al pastor. The pork. With cheese.

[Because he has a feeling that he'll love the fire roasted pork and how it's sweetened with pineapple. Not to mention the cheese that's been melted straight on the grill before being added to the tacos.]

The toppings are over there for stuff you wanna add after they cook 'em up.

(( That's definitely the sort of flavor combination Vincent never had but will inevitably enjoy. The smoky flavor clinging to the savory meat with the subtle sweetness of pineapple (another thing Vincent's never had before). Now he's about the experience the wonder of pork and pineapple together! Will he end up being a Hawaiian pizza kind of guy after this? To be determined...

When it's their turn, Vincent takes Koa's suggestion, wiggling a little from foot to foot while he waits. It all smells so good! He's definitely not feeling any guilt about sneaking out of the dorm for this. Good food and good company are proving to be two of his favorite things in the whole world! Once they hand him his order, Vincent meanders over to look at the other toppings, piling on a few of them before looking with wide eyes back at Koa. ))

Is there somewhere to sit?

(( Are they supposed to walk around with them? Or perch on Koa's motorcycle? How does street food work, exactly? Please educate him. ))
