[ "Sleepovers" are normal. He's learned this by now; between hearing other adolescent humans mention them and a handful of occasions where he's had to crash at Yoshiki's house, he's learned that this is a common occurance for a human of his apparent age.

But tonight... is a bit different.

Because he was determined to make it so.

An hour ago, 'Hikaru' spilled a bottle of cola on the tatami floor of Yoshiki's room. He reproduced a typical reaction by Hikaru to committing such an inconvenience, attempting to diffuse the obvious damage done to to expensive mats by his secretly intentional actions by making jokes and blaming himself. Yoshiki's mother, bless her, seemed too exhausted to make a big deal about it. She set up a fan to help dry out the dampness in the bamboo fibers and then left the boys to play video games, or read manga, or whatever it is that they did until the wee hours of the night.

But it left him and Yoshiki with no choice but to sleep together in Yoshiki's bed. As 'Hikaru' settles into the inside half of the mattress, he pulls the covers up over his legs and feels a bit triumphant at how seamlessly he seemed to manage to pull all this off. ]

Man! I'm bushed. That was awkward... [ he flashes a perfectly reproduced smile at Yoshiki. ] But, uh, your ma can hire a cleaner if the stain is still there tomorrow, right?

[ Yoshiki's family isn't exactly wealthy. Nobody in Kubitachi is. So the answer to that is almost certainly "no." But he asks anyway, to see how Yoshiki reacts. ]

[ They'd made it to Athenas. Somehow. She was sure the Calypso Twins were going to be the death of her, but Krieg had showed up. How he knew where to find her, she wasn't sure, but he'd swooped in all rage and drive to protect and Troy Calpyso had died instead. Tyreen had become enraged and fled, but Lilith and the others had ended her, too, just a couple days later. Saved the universe from whatever was in the Great Vault and Maya had taken Krieg home to Athenas.

It was temporary. Just for however long they need to recover, to regather supplies. The plan was to just see the universe, now that the threat of the Calypso twins was gone.

Until then, Maya kept busy with the monks. Taught Ava about being a Siren, still certain that Ava was next in line.

All of this work, however, all of this keeping busy was wearing Maya out and eventually, she fell asleep under a tree near her house. Arms wrapped tightly around a book, head resting on a backpack. She only just barely registered the subtle shift in light as someone stood over her, but it wasn't enough to really wake her up. ]

When they had gone to sleep, Aden distinctly remembered having his face pressed to Vector's back, with his arms around his midsection and a leg hooked up over his hip. It had been comfortable and it had taken him almost no time at all to drop off to sleep.

Upon his current brief awakening though, he found that their position had switched somewhat during the night.

The biggest change being that he was now the one held rather than the one holding. Vector curled around him rather than the other way around. Aden had never quite been big enough to be the big spoon- but he was big enough to pass as a backpack at least. But now- now he was most decidedly the little spoon.

Even if he couldn't quite figure out how that had happened without either of them waking up.

"... Did I have security cameras in here again..." He mused to himself, mentally running through his check list of the Phantom's security features. He was very curious to see what sort of sorcery had made them switch places so completely without either of them ever leaving dreamland.
