AITA for trying to scare away all my SO's boyfriends before they can get too comfortable?

I (F4) have for years made a sport out of scaring away my SO's (F29) boyfriends, because she has rotten taste in men and none of them deserve her, without her noticing that's what's going on. Luckily, men are quite dumb and I can be pretty intimidating under any circumstances, so it's been some easy wins, which only convinces me they weren't worthy of my SO in the first place.

However, last time it happened, the boyfriend tattled to my SO about it, and she is now really angry with me and won't cuddle me anymore until I promise never to do it again, but I don't want to lie to her. Neither do I intend to stop doing it until she grows better taste and chooses a more fitting partner.

AITA for destroying the Egyptology Wing of a museum

Of all the necessary sacrifices, this was the one that was the most difficult for me. These were stone tablets, a sarcophagus, a display case full of funerary urns and ushabti and two statues. No remains, if that makes a difference.

Possible mitigating factors:
1. The relics were in an American, not an Egyptian or Egyxian museum.
2. It was accidental damage, during combat with one of my employer's enemies.
3. This enemy, let's call him Reginald, didn't seem bothered by the destruction at all, and would probably have killed me if I had tried to be more careful.

Perhaps some of the little ones were early 20th century forgeries. I gather that was a pleasant thing for tourists that made their way into museum displays.

WIBTA to retire a previously beloved element of my child's spectaculars?

I (don'tworryaboutitF) am the manager of my son's (50+M) musical act. It is a division of our Church's worship group that has grown beyond the confines of our congregation and become a popular sensation. Currently, we're on break from touring to both rest and create new music, and during this downtime, I am trying to figure out what elements of our live shows need revitalization, retooling, or retirement.

One of the most famous aspects of our live appearances is a display we call the Veneration of Relics, in which we present the corpses of my child's predecessors who many members of our flock have considered a vital aspect of our shows. While I understand the dedication that leads these poor lambs and kids to believe they are attached to not my son but his brothers who previously held his station, I wonder if maybe we could divorce them from that by removing this aspect entirely and letting their now six years deceased bodies be laid to rest in the appropriate family crypts. It is, after all, an immense expense to take into consideration when we are touring and must drag around these empty cadavers, plus their temporary resting vessels.

I know we may risk alienating some of our audience to remove this element, but am I really such an "asshole" to take away this incredibly morbid - yet apparently iconic - component of our presentations?

That was a regrettable situation and not our typical order of operations. Lamentably, most of that money went to the respective venues, but if we were really personally providing THAT kind of a menu, I suppose it would pay for the transportation of all this dead weight.

I got sick of being bullied at school so I found a bunch of other outcasts, and we banded together to fight back. The bullies backed down and I went to study abroad, and when I got back I found out the school’s entire administration resigned en masse.

My friends ended up almost getting blackballed and expelled and kind of turned into a group of delinquents as a result, so I tricked another student into challenging them to fights and forcing them to back down. Then I fought them myself and lost so they wouldn’t have a leader to rally around anymore.

…Oh, and I never told any of them who I really was until the very end. I did all of this anonymously over the PokéNet. And I hacked the Pokémon League to pay for the whole thing.

AITA for saying okay to mass murder?

I (10,000M) really don't see what the big deal is. My daughter (23F) thinks it's a big deal and that we should be rehabilitating instead of murdering. Which, gosh, the idea is just so funny and sad it has me rolling! For those unfamiliar with the workings of Hell, let me lay it all out.

See, down here in Hell there's this yearly thing where the angels swoop down from their snot-nosed perches up high and "help" with the overpopulation problem in the Pride Ring by getting their jollies off murdering any sinner they can find. It's a whole big hypocritical thing. Cleanup's a bloody mess. Haha, literally! But whaboom! it keeps those sinners from spilling out into the rest of Hell where the demons who haven't embraced moral failings are just trying to live their lives.

It's not like I suggested the yearly murder mambo. I didn't exactly get much of a choice about it, considering what had already happened between me and Heaven, but to put all the cards out, the only deal I negotiated was to keep my family and any other hellborn demons safe.

And that's because of the kicker. Those sinners? A bunch of cheats, liars, murderers, and psychopaths who wouldn't know how to show some kindness or any other virtue if it came up and kicked 'em in the ass. They'd just as soon stab their poor old mother in the back as hold the door for her. Seriously, those guys are just the WORST. They're down here in Hell for a reason and they deserve everything coming to them.

That aside, I do believe that not wholeheartedly supporting our daughter's wishes and desires makes you an asshole. She's already made some change, against all odds and my own predictions. As far as your personal, internal thoughts on the matter, who cares if they make you an asshole or not? It's not like anyone here doesn't deserve it in their current states.

I (19M) have a “bad habit” according to my friends and everyone else, of dating girls for a short time and then dumping them. Or more often, they see me talking to someone else and get jealous and kick up a whole huge fuss and dump me.

Ok but here’s the important thing: I know none of them gave a damn about me. They didn’t love me, they didn’t even like me. They just wanted to use me to climb the social ladder. They wanted a taste of wealth and power and were trying to find a way to trap me into marriage to do so. So their “hurt feelings” were all really just for show. They’re only mad I caught onto them and never really got invested.

If speaking with someone is enough to set them into a jealous fit rather than them trusting you and allowing you the freedom of being your own person, they are the problem.

With this cycle continuing, how could you not leave them after a short time? It is better to dismiss yourself ahead of time before you yourself invest too much, only for it to be a waste in the end.

Sounds to me like you're making excuses so you never have to be emotionally vulnerable.

I'm sure you're right, at least some of those times, but if you never put in the effort, no one else is going to either.

If your intention is to never be in a relationship, then lying and saying you will commit to a monogamous relationship makes you look bad along with those seeking your wealth and power.
