SECRET relationship;

The fact that you're in a relationship with this person isn't public knowledge. Actually, no one knows about it except for the people involved. Maybe you guys are just private like that; on the other hand, it may be a necessity to keep things a secret from others. Maybe you're both teammates, and others on the team would give you grief, or you're not supposed to be dating, or you're not the type to usually date and you're only testing the waters. Perhaps it's the combination of you two, possibly an odd couple, that would bring some controversy or some teasing. Or, you know, you could not want to deal with friends and relatives being busybodies. Your reasons are your own.

Are you content with stealing moments to be together as a couple? Do you want to make your relationship known and the fact that you can't drives you batty? Remember, there are lots of benefits to dating in secret. You can be yourselves completely, away from prying eyes, and get to know each other better as potential long-term romantic partners. In a way, it's ideal.

_{[ Gintoki wasn’t exactly sure how to make Valentine’s Day special, but it didn’t matter since he was flat broke at the time anyway. That’s why he’s left lamenting his empty wallet as he waits at their usual meeting area in the wilderness just outside of Edo. Still, a small case of Doraemon themed chocolates was in his hand and he was fighting every urge to break into it and eat it himself. Handing out chocolates seemed kind of girly for his boyfriend, but he couldn’t afford an expensive dinner— he couldn’t cook a dinner either without Kagura getting curious (or maybe even eating it herself.) All that is left is 300 yen chocolate he somehow ended up with. Trying to keep their relationship a secret was hard, but it generally was the best thing to do with how busy they both were with nosy kids who would make it a scene anyway. Gintoki also didn’t want to bother Kakashi too much with his presence, either. It was some kind of self esteem thing.

_{[ yeah, that’s how he got broke.. and if Kakashi happens to be near by, he’s really wrapped up into whatever it he is doing to notice. ]}

[ kakashi is not a valentine's day kind of guy. holidays and seasons like these hold no meaning for him beyond convenience, and whether or not the individuals that he had been tasked to eliminate put any weight behind these things. it's all a part of his job, and even if he doesn't carry out as much wetworks as he had during his days in anbu, it's still a day he remembers.

at least now, he remembers it for a different reason. and that reason is standing right in their usual meeting spot outside of the city, talking to a cute little box of doraemon themed candy. and that is actually... really cute? how endearing, that a man like gintoki has a side just like this; kakashi's no stranger to his blood-drenched history, to his loyalty and the ghosts that haunt him, even though kakashi is on the road to opening up about his own equally bloody past. now, he's a teacher at konoha academy, teaching the next generation of shinobi to hopefully do better than the last generation of them.
