[ If there was a concept of time anymore, it was only maintained by the comfort of the new vessel he called home. The clock in his phone when he stirred awake from an otherwise restless night. If there's solace to be found in why he was still awake, much like the tracks of the Astral Express literally taking him lightyears further from the dust that remained of his past, so too were his thoughts finally drifting on from those past doubts. That is, to say, Cloud was finally accepting his new lease on life. The chance that was given to him because when everything was gone...

He still held his memories. He still held fast to his beliefs when it could have been so easy to break. But the crew wouldn't let him. They wouldn't let him crumble to dust like his world did when the Stellaron was too far gone. Despite her own misplaced sense of self-guilt... Stelle wouldn't let him, either. He wouldn't be another star that was just too far out of reach. That's why Cloud is still here. That's why...he needs to figure something out.

At this time of "night", the lights were dimmed in the hallways leading to the Parlor Car. If Cloud can't sleep yet, than he'll just take the change of scenery from his room, eyes of deep blue that had been so lifeless upon being discovered having a sense of wonder to them once more. Thinking that there was no one else around at this time of night, he's got his knees up on the cushions of one of the lounge sofas, resting his forearms along the back of it for purchase as he stargazes.

It's a distraction...a beautiful distraction. One that he's not so sure will ever get old.

But he's also still running. ]
