Grooming is an important part of many species' rituals. It keeps them clean, healthy, and content. And a good bath? It can change the whole tone of a day from terrible to relaxed and blissful. But nudity is sometimes viewed as a weakness - and it is almost always sexualized - so bathing is often kept a private matter. If you do share these moments with someone, they're almost always a significant other or a sexual partner. Like you're doing now. Whether it be after a battle or after sex (or before sex, even), the two of you are going to get clean. Be sure to help each other out with that, won't you? After all, there are places on the back that just can't be reached... HOW TO PLAY: Comment with your character, your prefs, etc. If there are other grooming-related practices or kinks you'd like to include, like shaving, hair washing, mention them! Reply to others!

( when they'd finally gotten close to baldur's gate it had almost seemed like a dream. for some, at least. larger cities, the crowds of people and the chaos that devynn imagined it to be made her nervous. but one thing that thorn had made certain to ease her with were the luxuries.

that had been made all the clear when they'd secured rooms for the night, settling things onto a bed and the sound of a hot bath actually made devynn smile. for someone so used to nature, more comfortable surrounded by it even she couldn't help but be melted by warmth. especially after how cold the water in the rivers had started getting.

but it wasn't unlimited, so suggestions of sharing the large tub had been given and. here they were. her hair was still tied up, letting herself first acclimatise to the temperature but whilst she should have been washing she actually (accidentally. embarrassingly) found herself staring.

and after a moment, especially if caught, she'll draw her eyes away to wash and ask-- ) What does it feel like to you?

It’s over. She’s been trying for MONTHS and it’s finally over. For good. It’s something Laura had wanted, had done everything in her power to try and make happen, and now that it has… she’s just. Tired.

Except it’s not over. Not really. She hadn’t thought this far ahead, when she’d set out to cure Max no matter the cost. No matter what she had to do. She hadn’t thought about what came after. She hadn’t thought about what happened once she succeeded. The blood, and the bodies, and the aftermath. She doesn’t know what they do, now. Where does she even start? Where do they even start?

She’s just. So fucking tired.

But they survived. That’s a start. They’ve headed back to camp, because they need to do… something. Check and see who else survived. Deal with the bodies. And the blood. There’s going to be a lot of questions if they don’t.

The first thing she does is grab clothes, ANY clothes, and beeline to the camp’s bathhouse where she fills the first bath she finds with the hottest water she can stand. She’s still covered in blood, and she REALLY wants to get out of her borrowed dress. Especially considering who it used to belong to. She wastes NO TIME in stripping off said dress and sinking into the steaming hot water.

[It was a vacation, just the two of them. It meant Dimitri leaving his kingdom for a while, but he had trusted friends and subordinates who were more than up to the task of governing in his stead for a limited period of time. And so, he and Himeko were on a trip into the mountains, at a hot springs resort.

Currently, they're both in one of the baths together. Dimitri had rented this particular bath out, so no one would intrude on them.]

Ah...we've only been in the water for a moment, but already I can feel my muscles recovering.

[Dimitri is somewhat embarrassed to be in a situation where he and another person have no clothes on in each other's presence, but since it's Himeko, it's what he wants. The embarrassment is mostly nerves.]

She's sat between his legs, leaning back against his chest. Warm, relaxed, pliant. It's any wonder why they didn't do this the first time they met, but Kate had been too busy picking a fight with him. Now she knows where her energy is better spent when it comes to Lorca. ]

You seem pleased with yourself. [ She doesn't have to be facing him to know his expression must be smug right now. She can sense it in the way he's stretched out in the water, trapped between his legs in a way that feels possessive, and yet she doesn't mind. She wonders if he's thinking about the day they first met too. ] As though you always knew I would end up here...
