[ Zack opens his eyes when Sephiroth moves, and for a very brief moment, he thinks (alarmed and unprepared to part) that the other is about to leave. It's not so, thankfully, and a hint of amusement crosses his face as the other pulls his coat over them.

Though none of this can compare to sharing time in a bed with sheets and blankets (which is a thought he actually likes, now that it's come to mind), it is cozy, at the very least.

Brushing a few strands of silver out of Sephiroth's face with a clean hand, Zack tucks them behind his ear. He leans up a little, catching Sephiroth's lips in a soft, compelling kiss.

As far as he's concerned, the door can open itself. ]

[Sephiroth squeezes Zack's hip when his eyes fly open, trying to reassure the younger man that no, he's not leaving. Really, he should have thought about the implications of his own shifting around and offered the reassurance before he'd even started to move. But it's soothed now and he settles once again over Zack, positioning carefully so he doesn't crush the other man uncomfortably under his weight.

Sephiroth smiles as Zack's hand comes up to attend to his hair; Zack is thorough in a way that's endearing. He almost releases his own grip on hair to catch the hand as it escapes, but Zack distracts him by leaning up instead and Sephiroth loses all interest in the fingers that had so captured his attention a mere moment ago. He returns the kiss, lingering it in out of sheer enjoyment of lips moving against lips. It's a simple thing, lacking the heat of their earlier embrace, but it's heartfelt and honest.

There's no real rush to leave anyway.]

Whatever work or assignments needed doing, Zack has all but forgotten them at this point. Though there's no longer that all-consuming need driving his actions, he still craves that contact, the warmth of skin on skin.

Zack lets it last, shifting a little so he can feel the other better. Kissing slowly and languidly, one might almost think they have all the time in the world.

He feels comfortable like this and doesn't want it to end. ]

[The lure of laying together is not quite as much a furiously burning need as touching each other had been, but it is just as addictive. Zack's skin is warm against his own, his mouth still hot and wet, and Sephiroth finds he has little desire to do anything other than lay together with hands leisurely petting over skin and trading soft kisses back and forth.

It's a kind of contentment he's never experienced before.

And perhaps it is no surprise that he's lost track of the time since they'd taken that last potion dosage, since they'd started everything leading to this moment. A small, insistent noise tugs at Sephiroth's attention until he breaks away from Zack enough to recognize the ringing of one of their phones. Which one of their phones is up for debate though, along with the device's exact location because— as is seen when looking away from Zack— their clothes have been rather well scattered.

Oh well. The thing will eventually roll over to voicemail anyway.]

[ Zack has experienced contentment like this before -- perhaps not in exactly the same way, but he knows what it's like to feel safe and warm and wanted. It's just never been something so close and profound.

Humming softly, he almost doesn't notice the insistent, muffled sound coming from somewhere in the room. It's only when Sephiroth breaks away that he notices it -- and promptly frowns. Whose phone was that, and why didn't they shut it off?

The annoyingly cheerful chime persists only so long however, and he's about to go back to what he was doing (namely, kissing)...except there's another sound.

A soft rumble breaks the silence, and Zack immediately blushes.

His stomach just made itself known. ]

[The phone does eventually stop ringing several seconds after it should have by Sephiroth's opinion. He turns back to Zack at just about the time that Zack's stomach decides to rumble. He does manage to hide most of the smile, but some thread of amusement is still likely there on his face. He strokes a hand along Zack's cheek, feeling the heat of the blood rising there.]

Perhaps we should— [Move. Get up. Separate. All these words would fit, but Sephiroth likes none of them. They all imply a parting of ways, and he is not entirely sure that course of action is one he wants to immediately pursue.] —relocate.

[That word sounds much better to his ears, murmured as it is between them. Part f him retains some surprise that he'd even suggested it, but a larger part of him just feels it as right, even if he cannot quite reconcile why.]

[ The heat in his cheeks seems to intensify when Sephiroth brushes a hand over his skin. He's beyond embarrassed, really, but there's nothing for it now.

The suggestion, though -- he blinks. He never even really thought of it, content to stay like this indefinitely, but...perhaps, it's for the best. ]

...Okay.

[ The question is where. There aren't really any private places beyond their own quarters.

He thinks about this a moment, and eventually he poses the tentative question: ]

My room...?

[Sephiroth is not trying to call deliberate attention to the other man's embarrassment, but perhaps it is an unfortunate side effect of his touch. Even so it's not enough to make him want to pull away, because Zack's skin is still soft and warm and even pinked like this he looks good.

He looks entirely kissable too, but Sephiroth restrains the urge because there are other considerations at the moment.]

Mmm...

[It's a thoughtful noise; the question had been tentative on Zack's part, and Sephiroth's answer is equally so.] ...Yes. If you will have me as a guest.

[ The answer may be tentative, but something in his stomach flutters a little at the acceptance. Eyes bright, he smiles and (again) brushes silver hair out of his friend's face. ]

I think I can handle it.

[Sephiroth's eyes close in a slow blink at the brush of fingertips; it's an expression of comfort with the touch.]

Should I meet you there? Or...?

[Sadly, it means they probably have to get up relatively soon, but that's a small sacrifice.]

Yeah.

[ He needs to straighten up a little and (of course) get cleaned up himself. ]

In fifteen?

[Yes, now that they are starting to shift around a little, it's coming more to Sephiroth's attention that a shower would do both of them good, alongside a change of clothing.]

Yes. [A pause.] Should I bring anything with me...?

[ He smiles a bit a shakes his head. ]

Nah.

[ Just you. ]

We can get takeout.

[ As much as Angeal tried to teach him, this boy doesn't really have the patience to cook. ]

[The smile is returned as Sephiroth leans up a little, propping himself on an elbow as a first step to truly getting up.]

I think I would like that.

[ To which he will also start the process of getting up. The sooner they leave, they sooner they can be together again -- it's that simple. ]
