[Got "Chrissy drags Jaime into the freezing cold to make a snowman" and thought it was so cute! Let me know if you'd like anything changed and I can edit.]

The idea of making a snowman was novel enough that Jaime agreed to it immediately, but as a Texas boy born and raised, the reality of it is cold enough that he regrets everything the second he gets his fingers into the snow to start packing. "¡Ay! Are you kidding me?" He shakes out his hands, tucking them under his arms for warmth after only about half a minute of trying to roll the thing, which now sits as a sad little lump on the ground barely larger than one of his fists. Snowmen are definitely supposed to reach a couple feet in height, he's pretty sure, at least according to all the Christmas movies he'd watched as a kid. "How do any of you still have your fingers up here? This is so cold."

It probably doesn't help that he doesn't have on gloves (on account of he doesn't own them), and it turns out that handling ice in the Texas heat for making raspados is a whole different ballgame when the air all around is below freezing as well. His coat is definitely also too light for the weather, but he's got a hoodie, a long-sleeved shirt and a t-shirt layered underneath it so he was doing alright until getting into the snow, and now his teeth are chattering a bit. (It is not actually that cold out, at least probably not to an Indiana native, but have mercy! Winter in Palmera City, Texas is basically theoretical, rather than a yearly nuisance.)

Admittedly, she probably could have given a bit more thought to the fact that Jaime is from Texas, and therefore probably not even close to being prepared for how cold Indiana can get in the winter. At the very least, she should have warned him to dress a little warmer. "Sorry!" She's already digging a pair of gloves out of her coat pocket. It's not actually cold enough for her to need them yet, and they're a size too big for her, so they might even fit him.

"I forgot you're not really used to the cold! Here. You can try these," she announces, holding the powder blue gloves out. It's chilly, but it's not that bad when there's no breeze to sneak icy fingers past inadequate layers. "Are your hands okay?" She feels a little guilty about it, but it's too late to do much about it now. Hindsight is twenty-twenty, after all. Chrissy figures that they have two options now- admit defeat or power through.
