To say Peter doesn't spend much time at the beach is something of an understatement. Not even five minutes into stepping foot onto the sand and he can feel his skin turning red. (He supposes his nickname for his Introduction to Organic Chemistry class will change from 'Casper' to 'Lobster,' which while not necessarily better makes for a change of pace at least.)

He's not used to having this much free time, what with college, his job, and Spider-Man. But today finds him with a sliver of coveted free time, and he decides to venture out to the beach, to escape the city life for a bit. The day is young and the late summer sun is warm; no one is trying to blow up New York (yet). He could do worse than the beach.

He's debating whether to go into the water immediately or to try some of the food at one of the local vendors down by the pier. Both options are very tempting; ultimately, his growling stomach makes up his mind for him.

As he makes his way over to the various food stalls, he's debating which variety of fried terrible for him in every way possible he should indulge the money he really doesn't have. He considers the young man who seems to be his age who also seems to be enjoying some of the food.

He shoves past his own desire to keep to himself and straight into social akwardness. It's not like he's tearing apart the multiverse again by talking to a stranger right?!

He nods towards the direction of the vendors.

"That looks good. Any recommendations for any of the stalls here?"
