On The Run Meme

Maybe something went wrong, or maybe it's just another normal day in your life, but you've found yourself on the run. Did you commit a crime, or cross the wrong person, or simply end up in the wrong place at the wrong time? Whatever the reason behind your situation is, your goal is the same: don't get caught.

How To Play

• Comment with your character, and if you're feeling ambitious put in a bit of a starter. Who are you running from and why?

• Respond to others, either as their partner on the run or part of the force chasing them.

• Have epic adventures, fall in love, utterly fail and get caught. See how it goes!
• RNG for some extra unpredictable fun.

Scenarios
1. Running from the cops. You broke the law, whether it was shoplifting or murder, and now you've got a warrant out for your arrest.
2. Attracted the wrong attention. You made someone angry, or obsessed, or otherwise drawn their ire and now they're after you.
3. Somewhere or somewhen. You've ended up in a place and/or time in which you're not welcome.
4. Wildcard!

Relationships
1. Friends (or more.) You've known each other for awhile and are on good terms, so hopefully you can rely on each other in this situation.
2. Circumstantial allies. Strangers, enemies, or otherwise you've ended up in this mess together, and it might benefit you both to cooperate.
3. Opposite sides. One of you is the runner, and the other is pursuing. Which will prevail?
4. Wildcard!

Complications
1. Late to the party. How many people did you piss off? In addition to whoever was already after you, someone else now is as well. Maybe they'll take each other out?
2. Confrontation. They've found you, and it's come down to a fight.
3. Disguise. You can't evade them, but you can hope they won't recognize you. Better be a good actor!

[ She doesn't know how it came to this. A week ago she was certain she was losing her mind and now she's certain that she's the sane one and the rest of the world is the one going crazy.

She had meant to go home. Right up until the moment that they'd turned down her street and she'd seen the houses crumbling and cracked from the earthquake. There was a crack right above her front door, like a lightening bolt, or a mark from God, and the moment Chrissy saw it she knew she couldn't walk through that door again. Not after everything she'd just been through. Not after Vecna had shown her what her mother really was. Not when she'd learned what real care and concern and love was from her new friends. So she'd asked Nancy to keep driving. She'd slept on her bedroom floor in a pair of her old pajamas and when they'd met the next day to discuss what Eddie should do now that he was a wanted man she'd volunteered to leave town with him.

It wasn't something that she had said lightly. She knew that if they ran, they'd never really be able to stop, but Chrissy thinks staying would be worse. Eddie would be locked up and tried for two murders he didn't commit and she would be locked up in her room, forced into a future she no longer wanted. If she had ever really wanted it at all.

At dawn she'd hugged everyone goodbye and climbed into a car that Eddie had borrowed from the supermarket parking lot. Guilt had twisted up her stomach as they'd passed the city limit sign. She told herself she'd call her parents later to tell them she was okay, but she's not ready for that conversation right now. Right now she's just trying to breathe - in and out - the tightness in her chest lessening a little with each mile they put between themselves and Hawkins. ]
