THE ALPHA/BETA/OMEGA MEME


In our world, sexual roles are commonly defined by genders -- male or female or other, by sexualities -- gay or straight, bi or asexual or in-between. But what if they were defined by something else entirely?

Alpha/Beta/Omegaverse is a fusion of fanfiction tropes and animalistic behavior. In this world, sexual roles are divided into three categories: the Alphas (the dominant, the protective and the aggressive), the Betas (ordinary humans) and the Omegas (submissive, fertile and able to carry children).

ROLES:
1 - The Alpha.
* Stereotypically type A personalities.
* Anatomically: Males have a penis; females may have a penis in addition to a vagina.
* Alphas knot their mates, meaning that the base of the penis swells and locks them inside their mate while they produce copious amounts of semen in an effort to breed.
* Strong sense of smell.
* Near an Omega in heat, they experience a compulsion to mate that is almost impossible to overcome.
* Alphas may go into rut, which is their equivalent of Omega heat, and drives them to mate.

2 - The Beta.
* Ordinary human being.
* Males have penises; females have vaginas.
* Can mate to anyone.
* Might be able to smell hormones of Omegas and Alphas, but will not be overwhelmingly affected by them.

3 - The Omega.
* Stereotypically submissive, quiet, intelligent and less physically able.
* Female anatomy is similar to Betas; males are self-lubricating and may have either an external or internal vaginal setup.
* Regularly go into heat, which involves being overcome by the urge to mate. They are unable to consent while in heat.
* May be made compliant by a bite to the neck. However, that may also induce a mating bond.
* Often regarded as second-class citizens or prizes to be won.

SITUATIONS:
1 - Bonding - Love at first sight. You've spotted your soulmate. You can smell them, you can feel them, you know that they'll be with you until the end of your days. Unless there's something between the two of you. It could be age - maybe one of you has to wait until the other has reached maturity. It could be that the bond is one-sided, and the other has yet to fall in love. It could be an unwanted bond, or society could have divided you into different places. Is your love strong enough to conquer?

2 - Heat/Rut - The need is coming on you strong. Everyone for a half-mile around can smell it. Better find someone to ride it out with, or hole yourself up in a room with a few bottles of water and a durable sex toy. And you'd better hope that there isn't someone out there who will take advantage of your pliable state. Best case scenario, there might be a Beta who can take care of you, or fend off anyone too predatory.

3 - Pregnancy - Whether through a heat or not, you're pregnant. Congratulations - or condolences. Is it time to start a family, or time to start panicking?

4 - Suppressants - You're using suppressants to keep yourself on an even hormone cycle, skipping heats, or maybe pretending to pass as a different class of society. After all, Omegas might want to be in the military, where they're not usually allowed - or an Alpha might want to take a job in a university or as a nurse. Shouldn't they be allowed to, if their hormones are suppressed? Just hope that you don't miss a dose.

5 - Mistaken Identity - That friend that you always thought was an Alpha, or an Omega, or a neutral Beta, turns out to be something entirely different, and your world is turned absolutely upside down. Does it challenge your preconceptions? Or does it just ruin the balance between you two?

6 - Unlikely Pairs - After all, there's no actual reason that Alphas have to mate with Omegas. Maybe two Omegas can satisfy each other. Or two Alphas. Or your intended mate could easily be a Beta. Maybe this is just about breaking out of your pre-established role and becoming something new.

7 - Manifestation - In some cases, an individual may not know they are Omega, Beta or Alpha until their first heat/rut/manifestation, usually happening in early teen years. It may take you by surprise; it may be a blessing, or may be a deep disappointment.

8 - Other - Adventures in getting jobs, making families, fighting bad guys, and anything else you can come up with!

[He flexes his hand, mimicking the pulse of the actual act inside him, the aftershocks he'd be able to feel so intimately, and smiles privately against his thigh.]

I haven't taken my fill yet. Think you have one more run in you, omega?

[The slight movements make muscles inside him twitch and contract, and he lets out a breathy moan. Jim nods slowly.]

Yes.

[It's not something he even thinks about, because the idea of denying Khan is completely unthinkable right now.]

Now, for most, this would deflate naturally, but you'll have to have my hand out the way it came in.

[He murmurs, furling it back in to draw out of him very slowly, as painlessly as possible. Even with the slick accommodation of the kind of arousal Khan is provoking in him, it'll be a stretch, so he's very gentle.]

[whaticando]

[Jim's even more sensitive now, and he bites on his lower lip as the feeling of it goes from so good it's almost painful to a little actual pain. He feels like he's nothing but tender nerve endings down there.]

That's not. That doesn't feel as good as it did going in.

I know. But it'll be better soon.

[And to tide him over, he leans down and flicks his tongue against the abused skin where it's stretched thinnest, as the joint of his thumb makes it out. That's the worst of it.]

[He makes an appreciative groan as Khan licks at tender skin.]

That was intense. More than I was expecting.

I know.

[He murmurs, as his hand slips the rest of the way free. He wipes it cursorily on the bed spread, then moves to rear up over him, taking him by the hips.]

Hands and knees?

[Jim can't help but wince a little as he moves, leaning up to nuzzle against Khan's neck for a moment.]

Yeah.

[He gets onto his hands and knees, keeping his legs spread. He wants to rest, but he also wants Khan.]

Last time. Just this one last time, you'll do it for me, won't you?

[Because he can sense a little of that drive to please in him, and wants to give him as many things as possible to say yes to, as he settles down behind him. The push back in is slick and easy this time, thanks to what they've been up to, but he's mindful that he'll be tender.]

Tell me.

[whaticando]

[Khan slides in, and Jim moans softly. He's slick and stretched but he's also tender and sore, and Khan feels good pressed against him, inside him.]

Yes. I'll do it. I want you.

[He knows Khan will do whatever he can to make this good for both of them.]

[He bites down, on the nape of his neck, and starts to take him, basking in the quiet desperation of being so wrung out with him that it borders on painful.

His hips snap, ruthlessly. Kirk is finally open enough to take some of his strength.]

[whaticando]

[Jim's arms nearly give out when Khan bites him and starts to really fuck him. He groans and shudders unsteadily.]

Khan.

[He says it for no reason other than he knows that the alpha likes it when he does.]

Jim-

[He agrees, holding him steady as he starts to just take.]

Jim, yes-

[His own control is finally going.]

[All he can do is moan and whimper and try to hold on as Khan's self control slips away at last. This is closer to what he was expecting from Khan. The strength and intensity and more animalistic than most people dare to be these days.]

[He manages to reach a hand around him, to touch his cock, while he bites a few more bruises into his shoulders. He's frantic now, and clumsier, but gratifyingly needy, crying out to him with low urgency.]

[Each bite draws a soft cry from Jim, until it's finally too much again. He's tender and over-sensitive from everything they've done and those noises Khan is making are possibly the best thing he's ever heard. Jim screams Khan's name as he comes once more.

He can't hold himself up with his arms so he leans forward until he's on his elbows and his head is touching the bed.]

[He's just behind him, with a soft cry of his own as he finishes, hips pumping into him a last few rough times, before he collapses atop him. Like last time, the instinct to stay inside him is powerful, but he does manage to roll them onto their sides so Kirk can breathe.]

[Jim is still breathing heavily, and he adjusts to get comfortable, pressed up against Khan. He's slick and sweaty and filthy and all he really wants to do is stay as close to Khan as he possibly can.

He'll figure out how to feel about this later. Much later. Maybe never. That felt way too good to be something he shouldn't have done.]

[He recalls once more, all lazy, rumbling approval, while his hands run up and down him.]

I've got you now.

I'm not the one who's purring.

[He curls up, feeling tired and safe in a way he's never experienced before.]

Mmm. Now that you've got me, what are you going to do?

[He growls, instantly, against the nape of his neck. But he laughs at himself, right away, and adds;]

I'm almost monosyllabic with instinct. It always hits me harder after.

[Jim laughs as well, but for different reasons.]

As long as that instinct means I continue to get overprotective alpha cuddling I am all for it.

Eventually, I'm going to manage feeding you a little and giving you a glass of water.

[He warns, but he isn't letting go just yet.]

I don't know how they did it in your day, but in modern times you're supposed to have dinner before you fuck someone senseless, not after.

[Jim has no intention of moving anyway. It's easy to forget that vicious, savage side of Khan when he's like this.]
