Holding Hands Meme

There's not much to it; your characters are now holding hands. (Or tentacles, or paws, or hooves, or... whatever they have on their forelimbs that they use to manipulate things.) Why? Well, there are several motives....

1. Stick Together: It's dark, you're running from/to something, you're in a crowded place, or one of you is just trying to keep the other from running off. You're holding hands in order to stay together.

2. Warmth: It's cold, their hands are warm, and yours aren't, so you steal their heat. Or on the other side, their freezing hands are worrying, so you want to warm them up a little.

3. Affection: Probably the thing most people think of when they hear "holding hands". You're holding hands because you love or like one another; that love isn't necessarily romantic.

4. Comfort: One character is scared, sad, or in pain; the other tries to help out by taking their hand. Holding hands has been proven to lower blood pressure and increase pain tolerance, after all.

5. Accidental: You didn't mean to hold hands with this person, but here you are. How long will it be until you notice, and how will you react?
