Per Wikipedia:

In a support group, members provide each other with various types of help, usually nonprofessional and nonmaterial, for a particular shared,
usually burdensome, characteristic. The help may take the form of providing and evaluating relevant information, relating personal
experiences, listening to and accepting others' experiences, providing sympathetic understanding and establishing social networks. A support
group may also work to inform the public or engage in advocacy.

And now you know. And knowing's half the battle.

○ Post with a character.

○ Unlike most memes, you'd probably be better off by providing a general theme for people to respond to. You know, have your subject or post read "People who got turned into animals in their respective games" or "Time travelers and keeping the space/time continuum intact."

○ Respond to other people and support them through their trials and tribulations.

NOTE: While you're welcome to post whatever the hell you want, if you delve into triggery whatnot (i.e. abuse, suicide, things which tend to actually evoke real life support groups and therapy) please label your posts with a nice and blatant warning so someone who was looking for Time Travelers Anonymous doesn't accidentally stumble into your suicide thread instead.

Ritual, spite, pleasure, vengeance - a multitude of reasons.

But ultimately, I kill because I am human. Is that just not part of the human existence?

[In a sense, it was. He doesn't meet enough people who get it. Maybe this whole group is worth something more than momentary time-wasting, after all.]

It is. Of course it is. Why would humans be any less brutal than any other animal? Why enforce some kind of false morality onto what naturally comes from living?

Precisely. We are as feral and as animalistic as any creature out there. Killing, whether literal or figurative, is part of living.

I would go farther. Living, without death to balance it, is worthless.

Indeed. People would not eat if they did not feel hunger. People would not live if they did not fear death.

Hm. If they did not fear it?

I'm not sure about that. Not everyone fears death. Some people live surprisingly productively when they're rushing towards it.

Fear and arousal are sometimes simply two sides of the same coin.

Rushing headlong into one's death is merely courting it in a different way, because the adrenaline of it would be lost without the awareness of it.

Then there are simply fools - Darwin will take care of those.

[He nods at that, a quiet but undeniable acknowledgement that he's ceding the point. Perhaps, after all, he does fear death. Perhaps that's why he is so excited to see when it will come.]

Should I know who Darwin is?

[He doesn't feel too self-conscious admitting that particular ignorance, since he's honestly just assuming Darwin is some kind of assassin.]

A scientist. In simple terms, he stated that specimens of species who can adapt and hone traits that strengthen themselves, and then consequently pass on these traits to their offspring, are those who will survive in this world.

[He considers this for a moment, stroking his chin, genuinely thoughtful.]

A sensible idea. Though I'm not so sure about the offspring.

You don't believe in ensuring that you have a powerful bloodline?

[He shrugs.]

By the time it matters, I'll be dead. It's not my problem.

To the victor, the spoils. I don't particularly care to pretend that my son would be worthier than someone with more hunger for it.

You might as well hold elections at that point.

...Elections? For an empire?

[Nobody tell him about democracy, he's too old-timey.]
