SUPER FLUFF MEME

It's what you get when you combine the Affectionate Physical Contact Meme with the general Fluff meme. Since they're both basically related and are involved with one another, why not go ahead and throw them together for the ultimate fluff situation? Here's how it works:

Post with your character with the character's name and series in the subject line.
Others respond.
Use RNG and enter 1-15 to pick a scenario.
Then use RNG again and enter 1-9 to pick which physical contact to use next. "Roll" this as often as you want.

fluff scenario

1. Sick day. You're down with the flu or some injury. Whatever the reason, you're bedridden or at the hospital. Aren't you lucky that that special someone came to visit you?

2. Date night. You've made special plans to show that special someone just how much you love them and nothing can go wrong tonight.

3. Cheer up. One or both of you is feeling down and it's time to get out of that slump by either finding a way to distract yourself or talking it out with the other person.

4. Love confession. Your stomach is doing flip flops and your heart is racing, but you've read all the signs right, and it's time to let that other person know you feel the same way.

5. Special gift. Maybe it's the first time, or maybe this is the gift that really counts. Birthday, Christmas, or just a random present, you've been planning and saving up for this one and are hoping that special person will like it.

6. Last time (for awhile). One of you is going away for some reason (it can be as simple or angsty as you want it to be) and you may be back or you may not, but you want to spend the time you've got left where you are with someone special.

7. Pillow talk. You've just had fantastic sex (which playing out is optional!) and you're both content to lay back and enjoy a little bit of pillow talk or maybe go for round two as soon as you catch your breath!

8. Shared dessert. Whether it's because you're both cheap or you're one of those cute, lovey-dovey couples who love sharing desserts, the two of you are sharing that delicious ice cream sundae or cake with one another. Did some of it get on your partner's nose? Or maybe you want to go ahead and take a bite out of the cookie sticking out of their mouth.

9. Need a friend. You just want to hang out with the guys/girls and have a little fun.

10. I'm sorry. You had a fight with someone and now it's time to kiss and make up. . . or at least make up.

11. A moment at home. There's nothing better than enjoying a peaceful day without anything to worry about. Maybe you'll share a book with a friend, or just enjoy some tea and catch up.

12. Been so long. You're back after a long trip somewhere and now it's time to meet up with someone you've missed a lot and make up for lost time!

13. I'll defend you until the end. You're going to fight for that person and you're going to let them know it or show them, whichever comes first.

14. Pillow fight. You're both feeling the need to have some friendly horseplaying, and what better way than with pillows?

15. Wild card. Reroll, pick an option, or come up with something else!

physical contact

1. Hugging. You just want to give your loved one a warm embrace. Be it out of happiness, to comfort them while they're down, or just to give them something warm to latch onto, you just want to wrap your arms around them.

2. Kissing. Whether it's a peck on the cheek or a deep kiss, a kiss good-bye or a romantic kiss, you find yourself compelled to kiss the other person! Be as tender or as passionate as you so choose.

3. Holding hands. It's a simple gesture, really -- to reach out and take someone's hand. But that one simple gesture can convey any number of sentiments. What the sentiment is is up to you, but you find yourself reaching out to take your significant other's hand.

4. Carrying. Is your loved one hurt and needs a lift? Do they want a piggyback ride? Or do you just want to spare them the effort of walking? Whatever the reason, you're now itching to pick up your partner and carry them to their destination (maybe even the bedroom).

5. Dancing. Kick up the music, because it's time to dance! But no lone dancing allowed -- you need to have a partner! You can do whatever dance strikes your fancy. Personally, I recommend the slow dance, but you can do whatever you want!

6. Massaging. Did your significant other have a rough day? Did they get hurt? Or do you just feel like doing something really nice for them? Whatever it is, you're giving them a nice massage now. They'll feel wonderful in no time!

7. Tickling. Does that special someone feel a little tense? Maybe they've been frowning a little too much late? Or maybe you're just feeling a little devilish. Give them a tickle and see what happens!

8. Cuddling. Sometimes there's just no better feeling than curling up next to each other on a warm sofa. Hold each other, lie next to each other, fall asleep on each other -- it's all good here.

[ Even those action brackets are taken seriously when Gerome is involved! Life has dealt a cruel hand to the Adjective Noun Lord of Whatever Other Noun He Picks. But he continues to soldier on in the face of stern competition. What is life without a challenger here and there to make things interesting? A waiting room for the afterlife, is what! But Owain doesn't have these thoughts right now - why are they even here then? - because something much more interesting has caught his attention. Caught his attention enough to make him stop in the middle of polishing his sword. Literally, that's what he's doing. Please remove your minds from the nearest gutter.

He can tell who it is from the stiff awkward stance alone, so he drops the usual purple prose in favour of shocking him with a question in plain English: ]

Jerking slightly at the sound of Owain's voice emanating from the tent, Gerome forcibly stops himself from turning right around and leaving. Instead, with something akin to a clearing of his throat (more of a rough swallow), he instead chooses to reply:]

... I'm coming in. [And with that (slightly obvious) announcement, he pushes aside the tent flap and enters, stooping slightly to accommodate the structure's roof. As always, Owain has made himself comfortable while seeing to his weapons. Something that is apparently a hobby of his. Perhaps Gerome should ask for advice in maintaining his own one- no, not the objective here. Focus.]

Are you busy? I will come another time if that is the case. [That's Gerome speak for: I'd like to do something with you but I'm neeeeervooooous.]

[ He could come back when it's dark, if he's not off peeping on Inigo. ]

I'm never too busy for a friend. Besides, a visit from you is about as rare as -- [ Nope. He's got nothing. ] -- it's pretty rare!

[ Nervous isn't in Owain's vocab so he can't pick up on the mood, but he does shove a bundle of junk off his crappy excuse for a cot and pats the cleared empty space with his oh so inviting sword hand. Who wouldn't want to sit their ass down next to him after such a cool display? All the heroes have heaps of dirty rags on their tent floors. It's the next big thing. ]

Something on your mind, friend? Stood outside, you were the personification of petrifaction.

[ Ah - wait! His attention is divided. He needs to write that one down before it slips his mind. Where the hell did he leave his Cool Phrases and When to Use Them sheet? ]

[HOW DID YOU KNO- i mean.]

Friend is a strong word and I visit only when necessary. [Not meant in the usual way one might take that. ~~don't friendzone him Owain~~ Choosing not to clarify, he instead turns an eye towards that pile of belongings that goes clattering to the floor. Not for the first time, Gerome wonders how his comrades move all their belongings from camp to camp when they're on the move. Perhaps they're more at ease with building attachments to this world, both to people and to objects, but him...?

He has a heart-attack just going about holding hands. (And isn't he missing a step? Nevermind.)

Eying the offered spot with a cool (HAHAHAHAHA-cough) glance, Gerome gives the seat a moment's thought before disregarding it in favor of standing. (Being that close to Owain might cause his courage to fail entirely.)] I am fine, and I was not- [But any protest he might have had dies on his lips as Owain suddenly seems to be focused on finding something.

... the sigh that escapes his lips is involuntary.] I will come another time, you are clearly occupied.

Sit down, this'll only take a second.

[ Ten minutes of shadow puppetry outside his tent, even if it was little more than a silhoutte shifting its weight from foot to foot the whole time, are worth a little bit more than a quick hello, goodbye. Owain might not be the sharpest sword in the armoury but even he knows how unlike Gerome it is to drop in unannounced. Or announced. Or even give anyone the time of day.

These, his reliable ol' brain tells him in a flash of brilliance, are strange circumstances indeed. The sigh which pulls him out of his focus helps. ]

Actually, forget the paper. But you still have to sit down. Try to leave and I'll have to tackle you to the ground.

[ Germs, sweetie, you know he'll do it. Wouldn't that be worse than hand-holding? ]

[Paper? Why would he need paper? Don't mind the brief look of confusion (that cannot be seen behind the mask) flickering across Gerome's face as Owain's words register. Is that what he was doing? Searching for something to write upon?

... ah, no doubt more... heroic phrases or something of that sort. What a presence he must yield that Owain can be so easily distracted to need to pen- wait no this is Owain. Gerome shouldn't take anything personally.

His arms fold over his chest as he tries to resist sighing again. Surely that many times in so small a period would be ill for his health.] You would be ill-advised to try. [Not because he doesn't believe Owain wouldn't, but because oh god can we not? That little spectacle would be out and around camp before the night was out. Owain can go ahead and explain to their parents why they were grappling in his tent, Gerome would go into hiding. (Which never works because his mother knows all his spots.)

But he takes the point and... okay fine, he parks his behind on that cot, feeling a bead of sweat start to form on his brow.] Satisfied?
