1. first day

Catch up with old friends, brave new teachers, fight your way through the sea of students, and hope you're in the right classroom. Oh, you're the new kid. Well, that's okay as long as you've got more than enough summer vacation anecdotes to fill ten pages of Times New Roman size 12, single-spaced.

2. first period

You're gonna be late! Or are you already there? Class hasn't started just yet, so chat it up or copy your classmate's homework before the teacher gets here.

3. lesson proper

You're probably diligently taking notes, looking out the window daydreaming or reciting in class, much to your teacher's delight - or dismay. Try not to be too obvious when counting down the minutes and pass that note as discreetly as possible.

4. faculty

Have a bone to pick with your terror math teacher. A crush on the cute chemistry teacher? There might be something you want to ask your homeroom teacher about. In any case, you plan on seeing a faculty member today. Or maybe they plan on seeing you!

5. lunch break

Man, you are starving. Hopefully, today's menu has something good. If the crowded cafeteria's not your thing, try the rooftop.

6. hooky

One of you is skipping class. You should try talking them out of it if that's your thing.

7. detention

What on earth did you do to get this? Oh well. Detention can't be that bad when you've got all these very nice, approachable model students around to talk to.

8. p.e.

Baseball, basketball, dodgeball - no matter the sport, just remember: you are the star. It's you. At least, you hope it is.

9. home ec.

Sewing! Cooking! ... Try not to burn the school down!

Oh boy, oh boy, being the star of this play is your dream. It isn't? Oh. You're still helping with the props and costumes, right?

Whether they take the form of Nelson Muntz or Regina George, if you choose to meet them at the gym at four o' clock or else, be ready to face the consequences... or maybe you don't have to. Not when someone's here to help you out. (This can go either way - one of the participants can be the bully or someone helping the victim.)

You're having trouble with a class or you're trying to make up for the days you were absent. It's a good thing someone was nice enough to offer their assistance.

Assuming that you actually have one. Are you writing for the school paper? Part of the student council? The marching band? Maybe you're a member of one of those weird occult clubs or something...

[Gimme that delicious HS drama! Resident bad boy who smokes behind the bleachers and cusses like a sailor, and yet the most common place to find him is the library? And there are rumors that he's there on a scholarship?]

[Dawn isn't exactly having the best day, being a new transfer is always a little awkward and difficult but things are made worse by the fact that she not only has an accent but also is rather striking.
It makes her an easy target and for most of the day she spends it either smiling politely at bad Mary Poppins jokes or trying to ignore the crass cat calls of 'hey baby, does the carpet match the drapes?' from the school jocks.

Because of this she's understandably a little frazzled and her temper, which despite her angelic looks, isn't always under the best of control.]

Ow!! Hey, you wanna watch where you're going?! You bloody idiot!

[She exclaims when she goes around a corner and runs straight into a dark haired boy.]

[Thing was, Jason knew there was a pretty new girl with an accent. He knew because Dick hadn't been able to stop talking about her during their shared lunch break. She was in Dick's grade and, apparently, they shared at least one morning class. Not that Jason had really been paying all that much attention between inhaling his lunch and trying to finish the chapter of Gatsby that he was supposed to have read the night before.

Still, knowing there was a new girl and suddenly getting knocked near on his ass by said new girl? There was a disconnect that happened in his brain and she stopped being 'Dickie's possible crush' and 'girl who just ran me over'.

Having to juggle a bit to keep his stack of books from falling, he shot her a glare that still had a few years before it would be truly impressive. He was still mostly all long limbs and oversized hands and feet, his bulk taking it's sweet time to fill in.]

Me watch where I'm going? You're the one plowing around corners without a care in the fucking world. Rude.

[Despite the fact that Jason is taller than her by a good amount Dawn still somehow manages to look down her nose at him.]

That was hardly the case.

[She tries to sound indignant but it doesn't last for very long and before one of his books can escape and tumble to the ground she rights it.]

Sorry. [She says with a sigh.] I'm all turned around, someone said this was the way to the auto shop but obviously they were lying.

[Fortunately, Jason was used to people looking down at him. It tended to happen a lot when you were the street rat charity case of Bruce Wayne.

Still glaring a little, he nonetheless huffed a quiet 'Thanks' when she saved Jane Eyre from hitting the floor.]

Yeah, someone really pulled your leg for that one. This is the way to the library. Auto shop is up on the ground floor and down on the West wing. Which...probably means nothing. Right. If you don't mind making a pit stop at my locker, I can show you.

[He'd be late, but Mr. Ford loved him.]

[A little bit of kindness goes a long way with Dawn and the look of disdain is replaced with a softer look of gratitude.]

I'd appreciate that, thank you.

[She says and follows alongside him.]

[His glare faded a little around the edges as her own expression softened, his face smoothing into something a little less automatically defensive and more wary. Dickie was the school prince, but Jason was just nerdy little brother with a chip on his shoulder nearly as big as he was. As long as Dick wasn't actually there to see someone be a bitch to him, they'd take the opportunity.

Except she was new, so maybe not?

Leading the way down the Sophomore hallway, he transferred the stack of books carefully over to one arm while he opened his locker. Inside was surprisingly neat and the books went on the top shelf before he was grabbing the leather jacket that was hanging from it's hook. Motorcycle, not letter. He'd let Dick sport their school colors.

Closing his locker, he gestured at the stairs at the end of the hall.]

Fastest way from here is up there, but the main staircase is what you'll probably use on the daily unless you have Hooper for Pre-calc. She's the only teacher in this hall that teacher upperclassmen. My idiot brother has her for Eighth.

[When he opens his locker she can't help but peer inside, noting both the sheer amount of books as well as all the different titles. A bookworm with a leather jacket hrm? Interesting.]

Your brother goes to school here as well? Is he younger?

Ah, no. He's actually in your grade. Dick Grayson? Cheerleader with an infectious smile and could hold the nicest conversation with a wall?

[His smirk was fond as he shrugged the jacket on, eyes softening even more as he spoke about his brother. They weren't actually related, but he loved the big golden retriever dumbass.]

[She chuckles at his description and shakes her head.]

Haven't met him yet.
So you're the younger brother hrm? Do you have a name and do you also hold conversations with walls?

[He smirked, shaking his head as he headed for the stairs.]

I'm not the 'conversation' type, with walls or people. But my name is Jason. Jason Todd. Dick will be heartbroken that you don't remember him. He told me at lunch that he's in one of your morning classes.

[She follows alongside him.]

If he is he didn't introduce himself but I'm glad you have, it's nice to meet you Jason Todd.
